Nice write-up! Love what you offer. Impressive stat's on the gaming industry. I can identify with Crump: I hawked my self-published miniatures game for nine years, making pennies, literally. It was fun, but it was incredibly hard work to do everything myself: write and design the game; print and assemble copies of the booklets; build a web site to market it; try to advertise it, with a $0 USD-budget; teaching local Com. Ed. classes to get the game some attention; demonstrating it at game conventions… It was anything but profitable. But I learned a great deal in the process. One thing I learned is that I am terrible at marketing. LOL! Really looking forward to working with you, Bryan, to bring my dormant game back to life -- this time with help, no longer running a one-man show. Cheers! |

As a Native Okie--if not Native American--this is another example of wonderful entrepreneurialism happening under my own nose. As an author and publisher of original wargame rules through TVAG link but one who cannot take them on the convention circuit for exposure, I have to wonder if this PSG might not be worth an E-mail. In any event, the report on the growth of our hobby quoted in the article were a pleasant surprise, to say the least. TVAG |
