Thanks Weasel. It was a TMP idea, no credit to me. I might sell enough to be a millionaire this time next year. martin |

Yes – grenade dischargers are good (had to make some with milliput a while back), as are the Vikings (especially the guy who is just launching the spear – will have to try them but I suspect they could like quite special launching missiles from a back rank) … Good stuff ! Phil Russians for Stalingrad next, no doubt!! |

The grenade launchers fill a gap…I can now do Through the Mud and Blood in 15mm! Thank you Martin |

Just love Peter Pig figures. Presently compiling a Union ACW Corps but next up will be Britsih Graet War….early or late…not yet decided. Those vikings look tempting too even though not my era.

Thanks Martin – been waiting for these for yonks. Might now have to launch into yet another period… @boggler: I had the same thought, but aren't we still missing a pack of chaps throwing Mills bombs for the Through the Mud and Blood scenarios? |

Love the grenade launchers! |

That looks like a potentially suicidal elevation – but then again I recently saw some documentary footage of the WW2 commando raid on Vaagso that clearly showed the raiders firing a 3" mortar almost vertically at point-blank range at the German HQ. |

Martin, since you are adding more figures to your outstanding WW1 line, might I ask if there are any plans to include Serbs? I'd also love to see Hungarian and Croatian troops added to the 'Austrian' line up. |

Martin: Thanks for the quick response to requests for grenade launchers. Will Hunnish and French figures be far behind? I'd like to order but on your site when I added this item to my cart it registered the choice as French Zouaves? |

@boggler: I had the same thought, but aren't we still missing a pack of chaps throwing Mills bombs for the Through the Mud and Blood scenarios? Completely agree. IMO Omitting grenade throwers ('Bombers') from the British line up is like omitting Brens from WW2 packs. Bombing was an important part of trench assault and consolidation. From 1915 Brigades created Brigade Bombing Companies to train soldiers in relays in effective grenade handling and bombing tactics. Battalions created Bombing Sections of around 40 officers, NCOs, men who led attacks, consolidated positions etc. Trench clearing was supposed to be carried out by Enfilade Teams of 3 men, bomber, carrier and rifle/bayonet man….. Interestingly a 1916 manual suggests he should be armed with two pistols! Currently im using Minifig bombers as the only option with PPig is to convert the batsman from the sportsman pack into a bomber and footballer into a carrier. Cheers Mark |

Yes, I would also like to see "Bombers" for all nations. |
mashrewba | 25 Jul 2014 7:48 a.m. PST |
Indeed the previous lack of bombers and rifle grenades stopped me buying any of the range so maybe there is money to be made after all. |

Anyone got details about the German grenade launchers?? martin |

Yup! Lots of pics and diagrams here: link
1 and 2 are the M13/M14 German rifle grenades detailed in the link above. This illustration gives an idea of size for scale purposes: link Cheers Mark |

think the Brits could do with some Trench raiders as well just so we can give the Germans a few headaches…. after all the Germans have their Stormtroopers |

I'm with mashrewba – have been holding off buying any WW1 on the basis that these few crucial packs were missing… |

Sorry Martin, just realised that this probably sounded pretty negative, which was not the intent… What I meant to say was that once the bombers have been done too, that will tip me over the edge into launching into WW1. You may not sell oodles of the bomber / rifle grenade packs themselves, but you may find that they persuade lots of people to dip into buying a bunch of your WW1 stuff. Which will hopefully be a bigger win on the sales front. On which point, how about creating (a la WW2 platoon packs) a "Through the Mud and Blood" skirmish starter pack for waverers..? |
