Great figures! I recognized Mr Kelly at once, and I'm not even an Aussie.

I, too, recognized Ned Kelly right away. There was a very good article about him years ago in either Soldier or Military Modelling.

I instantly recognized the Ned Kelly figure. It's very nice that you're doing historical figures. What scale are they?

I think the clue is in the Title.

Interesting timing with the release as tomorrow I am going to Melbourne to visit a few places, including the Victorian state library where Ned's armour is on display and the old Melbourne Gaol where Ned met his end.

Strange variation in head size. Mr Kelly in his helmet has a smaller head than some of the others…

Just me, but I think Kellys' head is closer to the right size than the others. Does anyone do the whole Kelly gang? There were several adorned as he was in the famous (and final) shootout.

I've been waiting for a proper Ned Kelly for some time. Great subject. Are the shoulder pieces and "gut" plate on there as well?

Where is Tom Selleck?

aecurtis Fezian06 Feb 2010 9:19 a.m. PST

I think Mick Jagger's head is larger than that.

This is one of those moments of gaming synchronicity for me! I started reading Peter Careys 'True History of the Kelly Gang' this week, and one of the first things that crossed my mind was whether there were any miniatures that could be used for this! And here some are! Does anyone do any Nineteenth Century Aussie Police out there that could be used as an opposing force?

Bandolier07 Feb 2010 5:56 a.m. PST

I believe that there are mounted and dismounted Police in the works. Hopefully mounted bushrangers too.

The aboriginal warriors offered are even more interesting to me than the bushrangers !! I ordered two of warriors and one of bushrangers immediately !

Late to this thread but I brought these this week and have been painting them. Lovely littel guys to paint. My favourite is Harry Power, even if Ned Kelly is the more recognisable.

One teeny tiny observation is that the weakest part of these models are the feet/boots. A little small on a couple of the models (not moulding problems from what I can see) and in the case of Poor old Harry, he has a club foot.

Otherwise, I love them. And when it comes to Aussies, I usually hate them (in a brotherly sort of way). A neat addition to your skirmish game posses.
