I had an army of those early Byzantines; they kicked butt.

So, your riders are in packs of 4, but your horses are in packs of 3. Really? Put 4 horses in a pack and charge 4.5 to 4.7 pounds. You are really doing your customers a disservice with this unhelpful packaging scheme.

Yes, I agree. I had to "buy" and extra rider just to get the quantity of Napoleonic Polish lancers. Your packaging scheme really needs updating to make it more conducive to your buyers.

Its priced to keep the price even and Im sure you can count that 3 riders and 4 horse packs go together, also we sell everything in singles. We dont see it as a disservice at all, we assume our customers are able to add up – primary reason for ease at shows lots of different prices are a pain

I'm not finding the Byzantines anywhere. I also had a Byzantine army painted up from Hinchliffe. Chris Atkin had the Huns. Ah, the joy!

Thanks

John

Lovely stuff, keeping my eye out for some future releases, then I shall strike! My cavalry units are 12s so the packaging works splendidly,

Tally Ho!

Here's some advice, sell crews for elephants separately, honest gov it's a winner and not just because I have 2 Macedonian elephants without Howda crews!!

Tally Ho!

I wasn't aware that individual horses could be purchased. Apologies.

Lancashire Games will sell any figure as a single you just have t ask, I dont like waste, sorry you didn't know perhaps we should re state it as some people know and some dont, its similar with the painting service we dont insist on packs for our figures being painted

And nick if you want crews drop me an email when we release in approx 3-4 weeks and you can buy the crews no problem

After chatting to Martin at Peter Pig last night about his Ancients gaming back in the early 70's, I got all nostalgic for those days.

A Byzantine army based for WRG 6th would be nice.

Also, Alan is one of the nicest guys in the hobby. Speaking to someone is always preferable to immediately going on the offensive, especially on social media.

Here's an idea. Be nice. Don't be a dick.

I think those are the 10th-11th Century Byzantines, not early from th epictures. I still have an army of those and those are the Tagmatic and Thematic cavalry with armored and unarmored horses IMHO. nice figures and I'm still happy to put them on the table.

The early (e.g. Belisariana and Heraclian) Byzantines were an older range and slightly smaller 25mm figures. I don't think those were ever replaced with a range in the new ore robust style. (I have some of the early Byzantines mixed in with the Tagmatic later ones.
