This looks like a game that could benefit from PDF. I've read very good things about it, and it looks very interesting for small skirmish
. but almost $70 USD (with discount at the warstore.com ) to get the base rules and vehicle expansion
. that's too rich for skirmish for my taste
through in this expansion, and it's almost $100 USD

On a price-per-page basis, Operation Squad may be the most expensive ruleset out there. The production quality, presentation, and rules are first-rate, but the price tag is too steep for most gamers considering all the other options available: Rules of Engagement, Rate of Fire, NUTS!, DHC7B, Victory Decision, Frontline Command WWII, etc. I'm waiting for Warlord/Osprey's new ruleset, Bolt Action WWII, due on this summer. It's by GW alumni Rick Priestley and Alessio Cavatore. It should be similar to 'Force on Force' in terms of quality and layout given that Osprey's the publisher. |

There is a mistake. Operation Squad is a complete game. The other are just supplement. You can easy play and have fun also with only the original rules. Otherwise all the game that have supplement (GW, FOG, FOW) will have a tremendous cost. It's up to you decide to buy the supplement or not. More than that we are very small but we offer a product very professional all in color and the cost for produce small quantity is very high. We have tried to cut off the prices but until now it was impossible. And please do not forget that we do our "businness" only with the rules and not with miniature that offer a better margin of money
But, in a free market and in a free word anyone is free to make is own decision. We respect and understand your point if view. Max & Valentino |
