Interesting announcement. Hope to hear Magnificent Egos' response. I thought the process of moldmaking usually degraded a green to the point that it could not be used to make a second mold. |

I'm more interested in the sculptor's response. |

I'm curious as to which sculpts they were. |

I agree. Product numbers 03299, 03302, and 03305 doesn't tell me much. Were they ever pictured in the greens gallery on Reaper? I'd go look but I'm quite sure they would have been removed by now. |

Some greens do not survive the moldmaking process some do. Depends on the number of fine details involved. Usually, there are tell-tale signs that a green has had a mold made (such as browning). Not sure if anyone at Reaper saw any of it or not. It's still pretty silly to think you can sell the same miniature to multiple different companies, especially ones that promote their figures everywhere. |

Like Rich said, a particularly robust or well-made green without a lot of fiddly bits can be "cooked" multiple times, but you'd know it would be cooked, as it would be brown. For example, when we first cooked the green of the Siberian, it came through perfectly except that his mustache fell off. There are certain low-temp moulds out there now that allow for things like plastic and resin to be cooked with no melting and almost no shrinkage. My experience with these is limited, so I do not know if they still brown the miniature like the normal vulcanizing process does. Scott |

I wish all parties luck in sorting this out. Without the details of the contracts, how the sculpts came to be offered for sale by parties other than Reaper, etc, none of which is any of my business, I feel it would be inapproprite of me to comment further. |

"but you'd know it would be cooked, as it would be brown." Not if it was a low pressure/low temp silicone rubber mould. Greens come out pretty much "as new" with no discolouration. |

I didn't know that Tony, thanks for that info. The whole ME business crash is just another in a long line of similar situations in the miniatures industry. It will be interesting to see how this turns out. |

Well, having been relieved of several thousand from Magnificent Egos, I'm certainly not surprised. |

Don, maybe you can save some lawyers' fees by joining your potential suit with Reaper's claim. |

There is nothing further to say. Slightly modified versions of these figures ended up on our release list due to communication issues. Things will be resolved, no one will lose money and the figures will be available in some form soon. |

Until, then I will personally be boycotting ME, there is really no excuse for this kind of behavior |
Magnificent Ego | 19 Feb 2008 8:13 p.m. PST |
I understand your concern, but this was resolved before this post appeared on TMP. It originated on REeaper's messageboards and was cleaned up then with a few phone calls. No one was hurt. |
Sororitas | 19 Feb 2008 8:58 p.m. PST |
I stand corrected, Boycott over |

Thanks for listening. This was a misunderstanding. |

First, I have no idea what you are talking about in your posts when you are telling people this is resolved. I just now addressed this matter to you when I replied to your email. Spin it how you want. The reality is that you sold us "unreleased" models that you had already released to the public. A quick internet search will show websites that have them in stock ready to ship. This whole incident is another perfect example of your amateur business practices and your inability to be honest with people who tried to help you on multiple occasions. |
Jeferi | 20 Feb 2008 10:40 p.m. PST |
Ah, the drama. A quick board search shows many people including two well known sculptors have accused MagEgo of not paying what is due. I hope this gets worked out, but i'm glad to be informed when I spend my money,
or don't. |
