OK, I give up. Are they models? What scale?

John,

Just go to the website (note, it would help if you could read Japanese!).

From this page I would say models, they seem to make collectibles so they would appear to be gashapons, they are usually 1/144 or 1/100.

They are 1/144 pre-paints with minimal assembly. I believe that Algernon was formerly called CafeReo, and did several heavy bomber series under that name.

These should be nice, although I would rather have had Avengers than Helldivers, and I have plenty of Vals and Stukas already.

I did go to the website, and no, I don't read Japanese. grin

No scale, no price, no clue.

Did you notice the English text in the upper right corner?

"Our companies that make the value of Minority and sympathy."

Huh?

Scott, I think that's Engrish for "We are an equal opportunity employer."

Google translated the web page Japanese-to-English for me. More or less.

It looks like a new gashopon release of 1/144 dive bombers: Stukas D and G, Judy/Suisei, SBD Dauntless and SB2C Helldivers. Some subjects have been covered before, but none are currently in production. I'm delighted to see more WWII gashopon en route.

Irv, did they list any prices in USD?

zippyfusenet22 Dec 2009 8:46 p.m. PST

I didn't see any prices Matt. If this is a typical Cafe Reo release, they'll run about 4500 yen for a blind box of 10. I'll be watching Hobby Link Japan for these.

Thanks for the translation, Irv. I might have to pick up a couple of these. I'm a big fan of the gashapon planes.
