"Osprey: Up to 70% Off Books, eBooks & Games" Topic

Possibly the worst advert ever for a sale.

I can't find anything for sale let alone at 70% off.

Osprey….please help your customers who are tempted to spend their money on a sale item. How about a direct link to all sales items?

I think the kids call this kind of thing clickbait.

Check the "More Info" box under the picture of the book. If it's on sale the regular price will have a red line through it and the sale price underneath. The sale price is actually listed under a lot of them but without any indication that's what it is, so "More Info" is your best bet.

Browsing through the ENTIRE collection to POSSIBLY find a bargain does not generate more sales – just pisses me off. Osprey this sale is 1 out of 10. In fact, I am LESS likely to buy from you now….

It's not a question of possibly finding a bargain. The books on sale far outnumber the ones that aren't, e.g on the most recent page of books in the Campaign series the books either not yet published or published so far in 2019 are full price and every other book on the page is at sale price, as are all the books on the pages I checked after that. You just have to look at "More Info" to find out for sure but you're more likely to get a hit than a miss.

I should point out that I have no connection whatsoever with Osprey and I wish they had a better system of listing sale prices but I have also managed to fill in quite a few holes in my library without paying full price for anything and I don't think the extra couple of seconds it took me to check the prices was too huge a burden.

The home page states what series are on sale and which ones are not. As stated clicking on the more info button for books that you might be interested in will give the sales price. Not the best way to run a sale as usually sales will state the sale price up front instead of having to search for it.
