Andrew's article should be well worth reading – up there in Nottingham they have lots of problems with hoddie gangs that hide in the forest and come out to mug travellers. Local law enforcement seem powerless to apprehend these 'unilateral wealth distributors'.

Any carry this in the US? I'd like to get some coverage for Kaiju Kaos. From what I've seen online, this mag does a good job and provides a nice service. Kudos.

Gary Mitchell08 Feb 2012 11:05 a.m. PST

Thanks Stratos. 'MW' is available on subscription to anywhere in the world. I write the 'Darker Horizons' sci-fant column so if you'd like something in that line covered, drop me an email to mitchellsmith@tesco.net Cheers, Gary M.

@ Stratos: This mag doesnt do a good job, don't get involved. I speak from experience. Avoid at all costs!

Rhysius Cambrensis, as 'DH' correspondant for the last two and half years perhaps you'd care to drop me an email at the same address – or my editor – to discuss your concerns before we launch the new 'Darker Horizons' spin-off mag. Thanks.

Rhysius Cambrensis08 Feb 2012 2:25 p.m. PST

I have emailed your editor and I would have preferred to headbutt a brickwall repeatedly until the damn thing fell off such was my experience!

Gary Mitchell08 Feb 2012 2:28 p.m. PST

Thanks Rhysius. Is this our present editor Andrew – or our previous one? Thanks, Gary M.

Rhysius Cambrensis08 Feb 2012 2:29 p.m. PST

It is indeed the present editor to whom I am referring.

Gary Mitchell08 Feb 2012 2:31 p.m. PST

Thanks. I shall, of course, alert him to your posts and prior emails. Regards, Gary M.

Ha, I don't expect to hear anything as your editor is now ignoring me entirely despite suggesting a constructive resolution in an email to which I received a very haughty reply ending further communication. The current editor of MW distinctly lacks people/interpersonal skills.

The current editor of MW distinctly lacks people/interpersonal skills.

Which are so, um…, demonstrably pre-eminent elsewhere…

3 Stifles in 56 posts? way to go…

Can't imagine why folks might get ignored………

Well said sir.

"I have emailed your editor and I would have preferred to headbutt a brickwall repeatedly until the damn thing fell off such was my experience!"

Somehow I don't think the wall would have lasted very long.

MW doesn't push my buttons all the time but I generally get a good read out of something in it each month. Editor must be doing something right then?

I normally try to stay out of the train wrecks here on TMP, but I feel the need to speak up for Gary's defense.

I've been trying for the last couple years to get information out about my company and my figures. Trying to get any kind of coverage is usually like trying to get your mother-in-law to move back out of your house once she is in the door.

I sent Gary some pictures of the miniatures that I had painted and he rushed them right into the issue he was working on.

Later I sent him some samples of the ones that I did not have proper pictures of and he has already lined them up for future magazines as they go to press.

So no matter how the articles come out I for one am glad of the coverage and I didn't have to get any teeth pulled to get it.

Thanks for the supportive comments chaps, we do try and let people know about new stuff in an increasingly crowded market place – hence the spin-off mag. For you guys over in the US I've been told overnight that 'MW' is also available in the US from onmilitarymatters.com so you could order from there too.

wow another stifle, there's a shock….I'll read this edition with a warm feeling inside…:)

I was sure hoping someone would be talking about the new issue. Look like a good one to pick up.

Gary Mitchell09 Feb 2012 9:13 p.m. PST

Yes, looks good, but then I'm biased. I look forward to reading it on on school field trip today to London Dungeons :)

Rhysius Cambrensis11 Feb 2012 9:41 a.m. PST

Bias seems to be a running theme for MW!
