Nice, very nice. I like the attention to detail. :) Shame these have been released just a little too late for Christmas but you can't have everything I guess. :) My friend's Weremacht company will welcome a couple of these.

Any sign of a Churchill tank yet? ;)

Superb – love the Schwim especially – puts me in mind of that photo from the Ardene with the officer looking at a map on the bonnet of a Schwimwagen.

Not to tread on Bolt Action's fine toes, but JTFM makes a beautiful 1/56 scale Churchill.

These are very nice. Put's me in mind to do some SS for Disposable Heroes…

Nice! It's too bad, though, that there does not seem to be an uncovered helmet option for earlier on…

khurasanminiatures21 Dec 2009 4:38 p.m. PST

Just use the field cap, Skeptic! Trim the brim off and sand the crown down a tiny bit ….

Skeptic21 Dec 2009 6:26 p.m. PST

Thanks, but why use a converted field cap for an uncovered helmet?

However, I suppose that the covered helmet could be sanded down to make an uncovered version…

Regardless, it's a pity that some ranges seem to focus at times on later war items.

"Regardless, it's a pity that some ranges seem to focus at times on later war items"

Can you really level that at the BAM range??
With Finns, early Soviets, French and Poles??
Plus some specific German EW stuff like Leig18, BMW and 222?

I'm loving the Schwim myself!

Or, er, do a headswap?

Skeptic22 Dec 2009 5:24 a.m. PST

@BS: Please read more carefully:

"…at times…"

Anyway, considering BAM's extensive early war range, it is surprising that the kubelwagen driver is not available in a sidecap or unembellished helmet.

bendsinister22 Dec 2009 5:38 a.m. PST

YOu got me there!

I'd have thought there would be a plain helmet as well, possibly there will be with the strength of the public outcry!
;)

i have both of these, lovely kits but the schwimwagen is really the dogs b#ll#cks, superb. IIRC driver has a late pattern smock on so the the helmet cover is in context.

Sweet! Got to get some.
