We are very excited to be opening. As it stands we have 6 major tournaments and events with attendees from all over the Midwest as well as demo games from Sharpe's Practice to Gaslands and Gangs of Rome to Necromunda. We hope you can make the trip this Memorial Day weekend!

From looking at their Facebook pictures, it sure looks like they have done an excellent job at building a much needed "real cool" hobby space for the Milwaukee area.

Glad to see this report; I remember the old Emperor's Headquarters retail (and mail order) shop in Milwaukee not far from this location. Support your FNGS!

You must be thinking of Napoleons. EHQ was Chicago.

I stopped in opening weekend and Grand Opening selection was, of course, phenomenal. Parking is a struggle and with 1 hour maximum metered street parking I have no idea how you make an4 hour game or all day tournament work.

Given similar stores with mall parking and good freeway access , I'm cautiously optimistic

Hey,

Just went to the store. It is really nice. They put some serios money into it. Half the store is Fantasy/SiFi. Tons of Warhammer but also Frostgrave, Blood Bowl and other games and systems. The Historical includes a lot of Bolt Action, other WW2, Saga, medieval, Gangs of Rome and Old West. Then you have the usual bases, paints and brushes. I would encourage locals to check it out and support an actually game store!

Hi Louis XIV. First, thank you for coming by.

I did want to comment on the parking. The Grand Opening was an extraordinary occurrence. We had 100+ people a day for the full day in tournaments, participation games and events and 50+ people coming through every hour.

It is 2-hour parking weekdays (not evenings) and not limited/metered on Weekends by the posted signs. Additionally there is non metered parking as soon as you get off Downer Avenue (around the corner in all directions). There are several dozen spots on Downer and many, many more around the block.

Additionally we have a deal with UWM. Patrons can park for $3 USD a day in the UWM lot across the street and $1 USD per day in the 100-car surface lot one block away. This is for the full day. We hope to have validation shortly where this will be waived.

We knew with the 100s of people participating in our tournaments and games opening weekend that we would need spots. We had the entire 100-car lot for use free of charge and had a shuttle bus going back and forth every ten minutes the entire weekend (posted on FB, website, in ads and at store). It was only a block, but with the rain nd people carrying items…We will do this for all large events.

As it stands, we have and thankfully continue to have large crowds and have not had parking issues.

It is also a straight shot from the Lincoln Memorial Drive off ramp with only one turn when your reach Downer (and we are 50 feet from the one turn).
