Is this sale worth it for US customers due to shipping? Or are they cheaper from somewhere here is the US? How does their size compare to other 1/72 or 20mm figures? |

they are great figures and fun to paint, but bigger than most 1/72 you will find by quite a bit. Had always hoped they would make these and the US figures in the scaled down size that they did the original German infantry – those two sets (the Normandy Germans and the US)had more interesting poses in my opinion. not sure where to obtain these in the US though sorry! |

Tibbles, just checked and Michigan Toy Soldiers site has them in stock as I said, they are really fun figures to paint and are very nice – buy a platoon of Germans and US or Brits and you are set, but I would not mix them unless you don't really mind the disparity |

I would not buy these miniatures. They abs do NOT mix with any 20mm or 1/72; I have pleaded with Valiant to stop their figs and change to true 1/72 to no avail. If they would, I would scrap all my 1/72 US and Germans and buy only these going forward. Too bad. Nice sculpts wasted effort because they are unusable. |

This just in from their website: "Our models are deliberately robustly designed to have character and presence. Many customers comment on what a delight they are to paint – taking both acrylic and enamel paints with ease unlike most soft plastic figures. To complement the plastic models, limited edition metal figures and equipment will be added to the range from time to time" My response is: doesnt matter. the figs do NOT go with any 1/72 vehicles at ALL so their claims are pointless. |

What infantry figures DO match scale with tanks? |

My US figures arrived today, plus a really nice 57mm A/T in metal. First thing is they got here three days after I ordered them! Second is I am delighted with them, as they have such conversion potential. I have various resin heads, most from a French firm modelling Indochina, but ideal for Free French Infantry 1944. There are very nicely detailed and each sprue comes with a mass of kit pluc multipart figures. Yes, next to 1/76 resin figures they are huge. I suspect beheading will improve things. The heads are large for the figure size, but they do carry great facial detail. I think smaller heads will help. |
