Did you use decals – and if so, whose?

Nice! Any new Aeronefs or Land Ironclads coming?

Steve Blease22 Dec 2009 2:30 p.m. PST

They're from Dom's Decals (I use them on my tanks too…)

There are models in that line that would work as standins for Epic 40k. Sweet!

Phil Walling22 Dec 2009 3:00 p.m. PST

They are lovely…

Damn, those are lovely indeed. I like the fact that some thought's really gone into making them reminiscent of Soviet kit as well, not just "let's call these the Russian models." (Especially the tanks – the triangular plates between track guard and hull immediately made me think "KV"….) As for the decals, yeah, the stars look like my 600-RU-1, and pleasingly in-register from the looks of it, which is nice….

I kinda liked the "old" Mech Assault Gun. Maybe it can resurface for another faction.

CMikeHardy22 Dec 2009 4:28 p.m. PST

Huh…
They look more Neo-NATO with the hard angles on the armored vehicles.
Nice paint job, though!

Cool stuff. Wish they made them in 15mm and 28mm!

I dunno… I think the MBT looks a lot like the new Chinese Type 98 MBT. Given how much they borrow from each other, I could see the Russians fielding a design like that one eventually.

I'd love to see these in 15mm… *cough*Tony!*cough*

Nice looking 6mm but don't do it for me as Neo-Soviets. The Mech and Volk evoke images of KV meets JSU but otherwise I see M60A2, M113, Wiesal and tracked Old Crow Gladius amongst the designs.

This is my idea of Neo-Soviet: picture and slightly older with a touch of JS3: picture

Cheers

Fabulous! I'll definitely be ordering some of these before the sale is up.

I bought some of the Bizon standard tanks a couple of months back. I have two platoons of 'em in my Dirtside 2 forces. Excellent minis and great service from Brigade.

Thanks, guys grin. The decals are indeed Dom's, the 1/600th aircraft decals work perfectly as 1/300th vehicle markings.

15mm versions are planned, I've already finished the smallest model, the Laska tankette. I doubt we'll do them in 28mm, at least not for a while …

@McKinstry – new LI and Nef in the first part of next year (we'll probably time them for Salute in April) – Prussian Aeronef (an off-shoot of the German fleet) and US LI.

I agree on the M113 and M60. Looks good for am Imperial Guard army.

The Neo-Sov models are beautiful, and the newest among them look like they will fit in perfectly.

There was also no small amount of comment about the Western look to the Bizon and Kunitsa when they first appeared to be sure. But Javelin's take prevailed, and Brigade had good reason to depart from the traditional "upside down frying pan" look that has characterized the Russian approach to armor since the 50s. And they have the Vombat, which is a welcome addition to any starfaring force that values effectiveness and multifunctionality in a single chassis. Of course, it's a Ukranian concept but stil…

The way I see it, all of Brigade's lines have a wonderful homogeneity and thus make good, compact forces for other games (if you don't want them to be, say, Russians).

But I really have to say…where did the original Mech. Assault Gun go?!
