Citadel had a very nice large range of "true 25mm" figures back in the 80s. Lovely figures. The Dark Ages range had hordes of Vikilngs, Saxons, Norman's, Byzantines…. The usual suspects. They fought well with Ral Partha. EI Romans. Here's a free Suggestion to Foundry. Naaah. You don't have to pay me. Bring them back as a "Nostalgia Range" for old farts who are clinging to their "true 25mm" figures. |

I find these among the most fun to paint. The SAGA packs announced yesterday are also ex-Citadel historicals. Wyatt |

That is awesome (though expensive)! I will be grabbing some of those in the future. I loved the gleefully undifferentiated Empire and/or Bretonian minis of that period! |

These are neat! I'd love to see the old Warhammer Fantasy Role Play miniature sets rereleased. GW did a few early on for Shadows Over Bogenhafen, Death on the Reik, et al. |

I quite like the style of the Empire type stuff, does anyone know if this is just a one off or will there be other packs to expand this offering? Some of the other long gone Citadel Fighters, Dogs of War and Mercenaries (just as it says on the box) would make a great scum of the earth band of villainy. |

Is it just me or does £3.00 GBP a piece for 30 year old figures sound a bit dear? |

Ugh, thanks for throwing cold water in my face! Now I can go back to checking out cheap plastic sprues and shake my fist at people who seem to think the are selling branded fashion accessories rather than toy soldiers. On the other hand, embracing this new paradigm may improve hygiene and dress standards. link |

Nah, they wouldn't seem like Citadel if they didn't seem too pricey! |

Warmnger is selling those Mercenary Orc figures for like £8.00 GBP each, and just the regular fantasy figures for £6.00 GBP apiece. |
