Can anyone recommend an online print shop that can do print this on felt /fleece/fabric? |

I looked at kinkos for their canvas printing. It was about $200. USD It was too steep for me. |

Could anyone suggest a cheaper printing option? |

We have sought your question for many years and there is NOT A SINGLE supplier of art onto fabric; all screen companies who could have done this on the entire planet are out of business. Our only recourse after over ten years of research is the following: 8ft x 2.5 feet vinyl banner printing from the Netherlands via Vistaprint for up to $60 USD USD, so you'd need two rolls for 8x5 feet. DO NOT GO OR USE KINKOS IN ANY WAY. 12ft x 36inches on paper using the big plotters from Texas; firm is out of business. Now, all that said, in the last week I have found a firm whom I may be able to talk into doing these kinds of prints but am only now at this moment looking into it, in Georgia. I am hoping to get these kinds of large prints for less than $50 USD but the material is yet to be determined. For further info mail me at imagineimage at comcast dot net with the subject line Phoenix Battlegame Surfaces |

Update link This firm can do 5x8 vinyl apparently cheaper or as cheap as Vistaprint. (Netherlands) I will work for you on this topic; let me work with this firm to get a sample first of my battlefield art, and if you send me your art, I will get this into their system and have it drop shipped to you. Art you send me may have to be adjusted so let's discuss the CMYK or RGB options regarding your file. As you can imagine I have both chartographic/graphic artist background which is why I am doing this because we NEED MORE BATTLE MAPS. |

Most sign companies can do 4ft wide on paper (and then laminate for protection), plastic paper or banner vinyl as standard. 4ft wide plotters are pretty much the standard now. I can supply details of at least one UK Printer who could do it and is Wargames friendly. |

we absolutely print our mat designs on a high quality fleece cloth. I hope you enjoy the designs. one of the coolest things about our mats is that they can stay folded up for weeks and when you pull them out to play, they will lay as flat as you need them to. they resist creases and "roll-up" distortion. if you have any questions or requests, please let us know at info@cigarboxbattle.com link |

CB Chris – I am interested in your products; however, not keen on the printed trees/roads that limit its generic use. I use foam underneath for ground-elevation, and on top high quality trees, roads, rivers, buildings, cultivated fields etc. So the cloth serves as a base for either generic uncultivated ground, and or generic fields. While I tend to play on a 60" x 108" [ping pong table] I have put games on 72"x 144". So 60" becomes the minimum when draping over foam, even a 60" cloth doesn't come to the edge of a 5 ft table. Any flexibility in sizes? If one seamlessly connects them with Stitch Witchery [fusible bonding web used by seamstresses] a 80" x 120" cloth could easily be fashioned, as long as the image along the seam is generic/compatible enough. |

I have an 8'x8' custom printed fabric backdrop for my photography business from BackdropOutlet.com. Sort of a stretchy knit backed by fleece to cut down on wrinkles – plus completely washable. It was about $200. USD The resolution is rather low, but they can print anything you send them at any size and have several different types of fabric at different price points. (What I bought was the most expensive "Platinum Cloth.") I really like the art on those Battle Mats though. |

I appreciate all of the compliments, you are not alone! We are quickly addressing the "plain grassland mat" option. I plan on taking care of that this evening. I am very happy with the positive feedback that has come from those who have bought our mats. They are a fantastic alternative for the Historical Gamer, as so many of these products that are available are specifically for sci-fi games. And our high-quality material is a steal at a competitive price! Thanks guys Any other ideas on specific mats you would be interested in? All my best for the best in gaming Chris |

Great looking mats! I hope I can get one (or more) soon. I would also vote for the "plain grassland" mat. Congrats on a very nice project. |
