Beautiful looking minis. Thanks for sharing. They are definitely on my Want List. |

Terrific, I'm working on the WoTR Foot Knights now, so when I finish these will probably be available. |

I can't wait for these, please please please let them be out in time to order and have them before Christmas, or I'm going to have find another present for dad lol :-) I was going to buy sets for my mom, cousins, sisters and nieces and keep them and paint them myself if they turned out not be interested in little plastic soldiers. |

I thought they were out last year :( I guess they were just showing around photos for a long time. |

Ron, perhaps you barely confusing them with the WotR foot knights. |

Yes, the WOTR foot knights had previews last year, got put into production this year. The HYW guys showed up in previews sometime this summer, IIRC. Either way, ace looking stuff. I'd probably steal them for a AGOT project, but either way I can see a box of these in my future. :) -Will |

Wonderful stuff in plastic from the Perry's again. Of course as I am finding out while assembling the WOTR Mounted Men at Arms that the small fiddly bits can be quite the pain to deal with. Still I love the Perry plastics despite that small hassle. |

If the Perrys did the arms and weapons in pewter as well (hate the fragile weapons in plastic) I'd buy with gusto. Cheers |

huevans011 – no, these are definitely for dad. He's a wargamer too and got me into the hobby. He loves the Hundred Years war – in fact, he's currently painting up Perry's metals as each individual knight/Lord etc that fought in it, to replace his old original 25mm figures. On top of one of every unit to fight at Waterloo in 20mm. (plus any of my stuff he thinks looks fun and wants to try painting ) I do like your idea though, I wonder if the missus and the kids would appreciate a box each for Christmas?…. ;-p |

Mixing metal and plastic is a pain, as plastic will glue perfectly on tiny connections. It might work with heads, but arms??? Please not. I especially love the creative procedure of building these minis, and mourn the day when Warlord Games and Victrix decided that lump bodies would sell better. Not to me… I hope the Perrys will not sacrifice quality for the laziness of some customers (or call it convenience, if you want). I will get me a box at least. The options are indeed a bit on the short side, though I assume the fixed heads will be more of a problem for variety. Sometimes a different angle on the head can change the whole character. Well, lets see – I am looking forward to this one. |

The HYW guys showed up in previews sometime this summer, IIRC. They were first shown in Salute in April, and soon after that on Perry website. If the Perrys did the arms and weapons in pewter as well (hate the fragile weapons in plastic) I'd buy with gusto. GW tried that with some of their kits in late 90's, for example handgun and crossbow arms for their Empire kits. Having assembled a bunch, I am not really wild about the concept. The figures end up top heavy, and glueing on the arms with superglue can be a bit tricky, at least if you don't pin them. Besides, I have not really encountered fragility issues with Perry plastic medievals so far. That said, if you like pewter, Perrys already make a massive range of metal men-at-arms models in their Agincourt to Orleans range. I think there are around 40 dismounted models in full plate, plus some more mounted ones. |

I had those mixed plastic and metal Empire guys too. The handgunner metal pieces would stay on. |

The WOTR knights are the closest thing to "spray and play" that I've ever seen. I love them. |

I've only had one plastic weapon break and that was a Warlord plastic rifle after the entire box of minis when head over heels in the car! One great thing about the plastics is the properly proportioned hands and weapons! Let's keep it that way. |
