But… this is the MINIATURES Page, not the Paper Printable Cut-Outs Page!

Can't argue with that though The Vault does put up a ton of paper print products here and it seems to be ok with Editor Bill?

Playing miniatures with counters is still playing miniatures, if you're using miniatures rules on a tabletop, right?

Slingshot magazine has run a number of articles recently with battle reports using counters rather than minis.

And at least the minis in this story are trying to look like miniatures, being top down. grin

Paper miniatures are a gateway to the hobby, and a useful path for those who can't afford minis.

I have a few scenario books full of battles that I'd like to play, but realistically will never have all the miniatures needed to play. Products like this could potentially allow me to do it.

I agree with Bill, they facilitate wargames. They also are a cheap way to trial rulesets or see if a period floats your boat.

Also a cheap way to visualise basing and I think they should be embraced. I still remember when Napoleon's Battles 2nd edition came with counters and top down scenery.

Flames of War has top down scenery as well.

Blucher has cards I mean there are plenty of examples out there.

It's all good. I was just being deliberately prissy in jest.
