Spent 20+ years in the Army … four years as a M577 TC and I never saw a coupla with .50 cal like that. Other than that inaccuracy, nice model.

I can't comment on the comment but it is a nice looking model.

Murphy needs some of these for Bongolesia !!!!!!

I was wondering that, as every one I've ever seen has had a plain hatch and no armament (apart from the odd German one with an MG3 or Israeli ones with FN MAG). However, I did find one photo of an M577 with a cupola and .50 in Vietnam – nothing more recent than that.

Jeez, I see one of those and I can almost see the acetate and small the markers.

Does this image show a 50 cal?

picture

I can hardly tell, but it kinda looks like it

Yes that's the photo I found – the cupola appears to be there as well as the .50. I don't think it was a standard fit – probably field-fitted from spare M113 parts.

They didn't go overboard on the paint job on that model did they?

I kind of like its simplicity.

They didn't go overboard on the paint job on that model did they?

And what were they supposed to do with it?

BigNickR14 May 2013 9:44 a.m. PST

I'm unclear, does this include a tent?

epturner14 May 2013 10:36 a.m. PST

I'm looking to dispose of 32 of these…

Real ones, not toys. grin

Awaiting disposition instructions as we speak.

BigNickR,

The tent is the large roll above the rear door. I would imagine that if you want to do it with tent deployed, you'll have to model it yourself.

The only problem with that model is there isn't enough 'crap"…fuel cans, pole extension bags, nets, tarps, duffle bags, etc…on it to make it look the way they usually did…

I also wished that BF would make more of their models open hatch optional….

Ghost6…you also forgot the sounds of the generators…the heater going out….the fuel smell….the sound of the radios all night long…and updating the sitmap board….

Wait…it sounds like I've done this before!!!! wink
