They look great. Wonder if they could do 10mm?

Nice looking figures! I hope they expand their ranges.

They say figures from "13.5mm to 75mm", 13.5 I assume would be "biggie" 10MM as opposed to true 10MM?

Gallocelt02 Oct 2024 10:16 p.m. PST

It could be that the figure wouldn't be stable any smaller than 13.5mm. I wonder what mm size would be compatible with Minifigs 15s? I may have to order some at maybe 17mm? Or perhaps 1/100 scale?

At any rate, this is very good news. The figures look great!

Cheers!

13.5mm is presumably designed to match Warlord's new Epic ranges.

The figures are expensive. And if you live in Europe they are too expensive (shipping charges + customs + taxes).

They are not a viable alternative for European customers.

I am wicked impressed! I don't own any 3D printed figs….what can I expect in the way of durability?

naseby4503 Oct 2024 8:22 a.m. PST

I'm just getting into Napoleonics in 18mm and especially the Peninsular War. I liked the look of these immediately and have ordered some.
Hopefully they'll fit in with AB's range nicely and add some additional variety.

Be aware – he sent mine out with the supports still attached. Before painting anything, I had to remove the supports and smooth the surfaces, without breaking anything. It was very time consuming and difficult for me to do. And with the price…I'll stick with Perry.

Bobspruster – it depends on what resin they use. Some can turn out brittle figures, that said I would expect they use the tough resin designed for tabletop minis.

avery0609 – They should be removing the supports before curing the resin. You are paying to receive a completed figure absent the painting.

There are some brilliant 3d Napoleonic sculpts out there, but I have a printer so I just buy the files and have never used a printing service which is kind of what this is.

DeRuyter – you are correct and that's why I didn't buy any beyond a small intro order. Too bad, they are nice figures.

Hi everyone,
Apologies for the delayed response—I hadn't received any notifications about these messages. Thanks for all the feedback; I'll address each point below.
DaleWill – Thanks for your interest in 10mm! Unfortunately, we've found that the detail in our figures, such as tassels on bugles and fine sword handles, doesn't translate well at 10mm. We're working on potential adjustments to suit 10mm and smaller scales in the future. Right now, though, our focus is on getting the Napoleonic range just right before we move on to our WW2 range, which should launch early next year.
ScottWashburn – What ranges are you looking for?
Glengarry5 – Glad you like the figures!
Gallocelt, YogiBearMinis, and Ruchel – To clarify, all our figures are measured from the base of the foot to the bridge of the nose. If you want to ensure our figures will fit with your current collection, we strongly recommend measuring your existing figures the same way (base of the foot to bridge of the nose) as some manufacturers' "28mm" figures, for example, can vary from 25mm to 32mm!
Ruchel – You're right, shipping costs to Europe can be a concern, especially with customs and taxes. While we can't change customs fees, we do offer free shipping on orders over £250.00 GBP We're also actively working with shipping carriers to try to reduce postage costs as much as possible, and we cover all packing costs ourselves.
bobspruster – You asked about durability—great question! We've fine-tuned our resin mix to balance strength and flexibility, so while the figures are tough, they aren't brittle like some other 3D printed models. They're designed for tabletop gaming and will up well to regular use.
naseby45 – Great to hear you're getting into 18mm Napoleonics! Our figures should fit well with AB's range, and I hope they add some variety to your Peninsular War games. Let us know how they turn out!
Avery0602 and DeRuyter – Regarding supports, we've been clear from the beginning that we ship figures with supports still attached, as explained in our blog and on the website. We even have a video on removing supports, as we know it can be a bit of a process. Due to demand, we are launching a supportless option from 27/10, which will come at a small additional cost to cover the time required on our end.
DeRuyter – I have to say, it's disappointing to hear us referred to as a "printing service." We've spent three years meticulously designing this Napoleonic range in-house, testing each figure, and ensuring every detail is accurate down to 0.01mm. We take pride in creating some of the most realistic figures available. To be compared to companies that see "close enough" with design and scale as acceptable is frustrating. If accuracy matters to you as much as it does to us, we're confident our figures will be worth it.
For those interested, we've recently posted a blog where we address some of the feedback we've received so far. I'll leave it there to stay within TMP rules, but feel free to reach out directly if you have any more questions or comments!
Cheers,
Michael
