I'm interested to hear more about these rules. It seems odd to have other flags on the cover but not the one for which the rules are named.

Yes I think perhaps I would have painted up a special figure for the front cover photograph that included the Bonnie Blue Flag. There are probably wargamers who already have such a standard and bearer in their ACW collection.
You might want to ask here, if you still have time to change the front cover photograph. Heck if you did a contest for the best photograph of the Bonnie Blue flag done in miniature, the winner could receive a note in the rule book and a free copy of the rule set, you might get even greater exposure of your new rule set. Just an idea.
You could even sponsor painting competitions at some high profile game cons for the best color party set bearing the Bonnie Blue flag.
