Actually, should say fantasy Dark Ages because the idea of shield maidens is pretty much fantasy with no real evidence to support it. |

"Shieldmaidens" likely fantasy. Women warriors likely reality. The problem for designers is that a woman in armor and a man in armor can look much the same. Especially at miniature scale. |
