It is a little known fact that the Normans were frequently subject to attacks from particularly vicious moles. The figure bottom right of heavy infantry set A depicts the typical Norman stance taken when dealing with this threat.

Crusader Normans have a good selection of mole stabbers as well. and for the pedants, it is either "chain", or "mail", for the intelligent person it is never both.

Chainmail is a perfectly good modern English word, as any dictionary will tell you.

Mole stabbers are handy to have as their more dynamic friends can be a b'stard to rank up.

Mail yes chain no, its ring mail, well that's what I call it anyway. Figures look nice, not sure I need a Norman army, but with Christmas on its way, could add it to my list

huzzah for the pedants
chainmail as a word is a blight, and a pleonasm.

Funny how the words 'accurate usage' and 'pedant' get mixed up. A pedant is a rude, often humourless person who infaltes their own self importance by knocking others, someone who tries to impart knowledge ,leavened with a touch of wit hopefully, is an educator.
Chain mail is innacurate as a technical term but in common usage and perfectly acceptable outside specialist circles.

I fear that they may also have trouble with ducks…

How about "inter-locking ring mail"? Regardless, they are quite nice figures.
