Looks interesting. How is this different than Federation and Empire? |

AFAIK, Federation and Empire is the "historical" campaign setting for the Star Fleet Universe, as created by Amarillo Design Bureau and based on the original Star Trek Series. Galactic Conquest is a more free form campaign system utilizing the Empires from Star Fleet Battles without the historical setting. I'm not an employee of ADB, however, and my first hand knowledge of SFGC is limited. If you want to know more, I would visit either the company webforum or their Facebook page, where the game publishers and designers can be found. |

What a fantastic game system. I've been playing SFB for over 30 years. :-) Happy memories. The old campaign was called "Federation and Empire". |

Hi all, Sorry, I just found out about this thread. SFB Galactic Conquest and Federation & Empire are quite different game systems. F&E is bound by the history of the Star Fleet Universe. The historical production of ships (with a few tweaks) is maintained. Planets are where they are on the official maps. Galactic Conquest isn't bound by the history of the Star Fleet Universe. It does require a GM (as many campaign games do) and the economy is best done by email as so much of the economy is in the player's hands. However, that lets you plan the direction of your empire. Want to explore the galaxy? Build Survey Cruisers. Want to bury your opponent in fighters? Build carriers. Want to get your battleships ten years early? Put your scientists to work figuring out how to get them! Galactic Conquest does have its own fanpage on FB now, so you can ask questions there as well as on more official boards. Charles if you are interested in a position in the current campaign, you can message me about it and I'll try to put you in touch with the right people. |

Charles, I sent you an email about a better place to post if you want to play Galactic Conquest and about Starlist, another tool to find SFB players. |
