Do the union command packs have twice the number of standard bearers as the CSA packs?

Lucius02 Jul 2012 12:40 p.m. PST

Very pretty.

Mollinary02 Jul 2012 12:47 p.m. PST

CPB,

I doubt it, do any other manufacturers do that? However, Pendraken have always been very good at tailoring packs to suit your requirements, if they are reasonable and you e-mail them in advance. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Me neither; well probably not; well it depends, we'll see how it goes; I mean they'll probably come in handy even if I never use them. Anyway, if I delay much longer the price will only go up, what with the cost of living and everything.

Finally!!!grin

After two 10mm WWI armies I just need something different…evil grin

How do these compare to the size of other 10mm lines? GHQ, Starfort, Màgister Militum?

Oops, posted on the wrong account!

There is actually a price increase coming in August…! :)

These new ones have been made to match up with the old range, and there is an ACW comparison shot somewhere online with those in.

Wow, these supposed 10mm lines are all over the place in scale. If GHQ is 10mm, which I believe them to be, then all the rest are something else. Pendraken's new line appears to be closest in size to the Minifigs (fomerly AIM line) and could perhaps be used with Old Glory and Perrin, which are closer to 11-12mm. I think then, AIM and Pendraken are 12mm. I don't know what Kallistra is, but it is defintely not 10mm. It might be closer to the old 15mm lines from the 70s and 80s. Thank you Bryan, for posting this image. It saved me from learning the hard way.

Those Pendraken come out well.

Those "minifigs" are still the AIM range. Will be bringing the AIM range back soon. Nice comparison photo!

this is why i will stay with 15mm. mean to say, 10mm is all over the place. with 15mm, i can use stone mountain, musket, old glory, battlehonors, and the blue moon line.
yeah, some in the 15mm world don't quite understand what 15mm is, but its in the ballpark(except peterpig. those are nice, and i'd like tobuy more, but they are too small). with 10mm, well, lets put it this way: besides the GHQ stuff, all i have to do is look at the above comparision pic, and it makes me remember why i use 15mm.
if GHQ would make more poses, i'd buy those.

@ john lacour:

I understand your point there completely, but there are similar size discrepancies in any scale if they're all lined up.

In the pic above, the first two aren't sold as '10mm' figures, so they're out. Then you've got ours, Minifigs/AIM, and Perrin all at a similar height, just different bulk, and then the OG would probably be somewhere close but it's on a built up base.

The GHQ figures are what I suppose you'd call 'true 10mm' in that they're 10mm to the top of the head. The others are the modern version of 10mm. Again though, that's the same in any scale now, 15's are 18mm, 25's are 28mm, and 28's are 32mm!

Also, once the range is complete, they'll be somewhere in the region of 70 codes, and over 200 different poses/figures, so everything will be available in one place! ;)

Don't forget Blaze Away Miniatures new ACW range. They are clamming that their range is compatible with Pendraken as well. With all these options now available it is definitely a great time to be doing 10mm ACW.

There are few figures with Right Shoulder Shift, which I thought was most frequently used when advancing??

ACWBill04 Jul 2012 4:55 a.m. PST

Blaze Away are huge too.

korsun0 Supporting Member of TMP04 Jul 2012 6:03 a.m. PST

@ACWBill – I'm not sure why you say they are huge? There is a thread by andymac on 9 April ( sorry this damn iPad won't let me link) which has a comparison photo about halfway down with both blazeaway and Pendraken in it.

Cheers

Leon, will these new figures come in army packs as well?

Leon Pendraken Sponsoring Member of TMP04 Jul 2012 2:24 p.m. PST

They will do, once we get the artillery and other foot types released in August, we'll then get some army packs put together for them.

Texas Jack04 Jul 2012 2:38 p.m. PST

Wonderful!
