I like these. Amazons without boobies on show are good!

It's good to see these re-released after all these years.

Why are all the pictures so small? Even on the website when you zoom in they are tiny. When I see tiny pictures like this, I always think that the someone is trying to hide something.

"When I see tiny pictures like this, I always think that the someone is trying to hide something."

yes, manufacturers (also known as "the someone"), this is a wonderfully embracing hobby, where your customers are so supportive of your efforts to provide models, often at a very low profit margin. lol!

I was also disappointed by the tiny photos.

I went into painting 28mm because I can see them, unlike 15mm etc, but I can't see these. They may be wonderful but if I can't see them I will not be buying them.

These are the Grenadier Amazons. Also available from Mirliton.

They're terrible but in a wonderful way. Seriously, Nick Lund's work is really awful but it's also awfully good. It works better for orcs and goblins IMO and yet, somehow his amazons have a really nice vibe to them. These scary looking ladies are here to fight not pose for a centerfold.

I thought Bob Naismith sculpted the Amazons.

Correct.

All of them, Doug? The leader and champion look very Copplestone-ish. Then again, Bob Naismith is skilled in many styles.

I bought a bunch of these from Gary at Forlorn Hope Games recently. Nice figures and great service.

I have several of these and really like the look they brought to some of my early barbarian/amazon armies.I have a rather large Grenadier Barbarian army with several units of Amazons/Valkyries.

Note: My anti-virus program(s) go nuts when I go to Forlorn's website or try to view any of the images. I get listings for Malicious URLs, Redirects, Heuristics, and Phishing-like (NFI) signatures. Anyone else get that response?

I was going to order some for old times sake but think I will go to Mirliton instead.

@mjs = yep, all of them… grin

Box of Rocs = I've drawn the website problem to the attention of Gary (Forlorn Hope) and I'm sure he'll rectify it asap – he knows about these things…!

Rocs

Could you send me any info regarding this? It's not something I am aware of and you certainly shouldn't be getting anything.

I'll see what I can do about the picture sizes (it is something that's on my ever growing list of things to do ;-)

Thanks for the feedback guys. always appreciated and most of the time I don't know there are issues unless I get told as I don't actually "use" the site.

Suggestions and comments pm me or email

And I've learned two new words thanks to this:

1. Heuristic – which I googled for an explanation, resulting in:
2. Optimality – which was part of the explanation

The delights of jargon….

You're gonna have to give us those definitions Doug, 'cause I haven't got time to look them up :-)

Yeah I forgot – you're busy scoffing birthday cake today.

Heuristic appears to mean short-cut but sounds much more impressive and optimality is another example of torturing an existing word in an attempt to confuse people into thinking you've just said something important.

I could be wrong.

I will PM you a screen capture of one of my hits on your site. In this case I was using Kaspersky. You can clearly see that it reports your link as a Malicious URL. I did not screen capture the other popup alarms- but might be able to dig them out of archive…(I cleaned my system today = re-installed the OS and other associated programs.)

Hope it gets figured out as I need (yes, need is the correct word here) another unit of Amazons for my ever growing barbarian horde.

I'm happy to sort out a payment outside the shop it that would suite Rocs.
