These look like they would work with 20mm models. |

They are kinda tall for Vietnam,,, |

Normally like the look of the Battlefront models, but don't care for these -- they appear to be too big. |

They're halfway-tempting, although besides the height, I have my doubts about the vertical posts that frame the windows and doors, as well as about the ragged edges of the doors and window shutters [?]

Ah, proof of Russian advisers at work in Vietnam? Although somehow they are not really very Russian either

I've been to that part of the world and these don't look anything like the hooches I have seen and gone into. I am really disappointed because I had high hopes for these-- BF generally makes things I want to buy but not this time, dangit! |
Skeptic | 17 May 2013 7:12 a.m. PST |
Ooh! Stifled for my comment? Regardless, the huts can still be fixed-up, e.g. by trimming down their height, grinding the posts off, and touching up the paint. I may still buy some. |

They are pretty awful to be honest. When the guys have been showcasing the minis and these huts were in the pics, I seriously thought they were Russian front houses. |

can i use these on the Golan Heights '73 ? :o) |

Timecast makes good Vietnamese hooches and other buildings (inc. those for Saigon, etc). |

can i use these on the Golan Heights '73 ? :o) Sure, just coat them in sand and you are good to go! |

The hut design is of modern over night stay huts built in the 2000s. Boy did they drop the ball on this one. LOL This is a photo from Cambodia but its the design used in VN in the 1960s.

i generally like the BF terrain, but these just don't look right. |

When I saw them I thought they looked bad, then I thought it would be just me who felt that way. Looks like I'm not the only one. Also, I agree with you Pete. |

I might use these in my 15mm Saga games, look perfect for the dark ages |

Apart from the fact they are pre-painted I can't see why everyone likes the FoW buildings for any period (their Northern Europe buildings look really dull in my opnion) but these hit a new low. Not only are they dull designs but have no sense of SE Asia about them – I'd like Battlefront to show photos of the buildings they took their designs from. The Timecast buildings are much nicer and they have some very nice brown water navy models in 15mm: link Of course, you need to paint them yourself. |

These aren't BFs best by any means although the photography isn't doing them any favours either. They aren't a patch on my Timecast or Peter Pig buildings, although their lift off roof would be handy. Some of the BF buildings are nice, I've got their North Africa ones & they're perfectly good, if a bit pricy. |

I have their original Russian Front ones as well and they are excellent. |
