The writing mentions that the base sizes are fixed, and can someone tell us what size bases are used with these rules? |
| Maggico | 11 Dec 2016 1:50 p.m. PST |
Bases are 8x4 cm for foot and cavalry, but skirmish foot that are 8x2 cm. Bases for elephants and ballista/scorpio are 4x8 cm. |

Ah, well basing for Impetus here, maybe easy to scale up? |

I'm not playing Impetus, then I don't know, sorry. |

Impetus uses 120 x 60 (and 120 x 20, 30, 40). Wondering if the rest of Centuria can scale up to this. |

Centuria use standard bases for all troops. 8x4 cm is used for all infantry (heavy, medium and light) and all cavalry (heavy, medium and light). Only skirmish infantry must be based on 8x2 cm bases. Perhaps you can modify the 120x40 or 120x20 to use in Centuria. |

From the autor, that e-mail me this text: CENTURIA is a wargame for two players that lets you simulate battles set in the Ancient Period. The game uses our well-known Action/Reaction mechanism but now includes exciting new rules to better simulate the dynamics of these battles and will allow you make many strategic and tactical decisions that will help you on your way to victory. Closing ranks at the right time, charging the enemy when he's disordered and making the most of his hesitation to break his lines, these are just some of the new ways of fighting that you'll find in these role book. The system allows you to play with any scale of miniature and keeps the base sizes fixed while just changing the number of miniatures that are on them. As well as a points system to help you balance your games, each unit also has a Training Value, a value that shows its prowess in Melee, an Armour Value and a number of losses that it can take. The rules also contain three classic scenarios, Vanguard, Ambush and Sacking the Camp which will test your command skills. The game is easy to learn and a normal game will last a couple of hours. Actually is the games with the most high number of players in the tournament in Italy (apart DBMM). |
