Great! Glad to see these back in production!

I presume they'd scale well with other fleet-scale lines, like GZG and Brigade?

The Beast Rampant04 Aug 2015 7:35 a.m. PST

Yes, they scale out pretty evenly with GZ- though for NA, a 'destroyer' is around battlecruiser size, IIRC.

I am unfamiliar with BG's spaceships.

Size wise they should work fine. I have a bunch from Holistic Designs and later from Mongoose during the time they were producing these. Mongoose had some issues with the additional ships in their ACTA range. Some of the miniatures they developed after buying the line from Holistic designs were too (?)flat(?) taking on an almost two dimensional look. YMMV There were a couple they developed that I hope will be back. I really liked the Noble Armada ships.

The Beast's comments are correct but it really does not matter since starship models are not like current wet water naval vessels where their is enough difference in design between classes to keep you from using a large destroyer model as a battleship for example. It would not look right. Starship gamers generally group different manufacturers models by size for a class type rather than using the designations given by the manufacturer. That works fine.

They are pretty close to GZG scale. I did Full Thrust stats for the Decados ships way back when they first were released by Holistic Design and had to slide ships up to the next class. I had the Mantis Frigate as a Destroyer and the Tupok'ta Destroyer stat'ed as a Light Cruiser.

Cool, thanks guys. GZG and Brigade scale out well together, so it A=B and C=A, then B should equal C!

I will say I think RPE picking these up is a good thing, but will whine a bit about having to trans-briny ship to get any.

Well, I will if I need more. ;->=

As always, Dean, thanks for the stats!

I've ordered from RPE to the US before, and they give good service.

I bought the old mongoose book and really liked the fluff. Glad to see someone picked it up and will flesh out all the forces hopefully! Never felt mongoose gave it a fair shot, surprising I know!
