I can also see this being used for A Very British Civil War!

This is great. Looks like a very good model. For sometime now I have been studying this vehicle considering how to make a conversion from a commercial vehicle. You have solved the problem. For my VBCW collection as Jim notes.

Has it been determined how the naval assets in VBCW were named for the various factions? HMS for the Royalists, but what about BUF, Anglican League, etc?

It seems obvious to me such a vehicle would be named and operated as a ship, even if that wasn't the way they did it in the RW. "BUFS Grendel"?

Definitely unique.

Richard -- is your "28mm" 1/48 or 1/56?

Thanks

Oddball25 Feb 2014 11:24 a.m. PST

Very cool looking model.

I don't know of any armored car operations on the Western Front.

Anyone have a link to information?

Hi Schogun, all our 28mm is 1/55th. Not to cause a new ruck but because as 28mm is a size I go for what I think looks right from original photographs.

Hi oddball, info on-line is sparse but all the Organizational information is available in the book War Cars by David Fletcher. The basics are 12 Rolls Royce or Lanchester armoured cars and 3 Seabrook per Squadron.

Nice looking kit.

I must say, if I were the Vickers gunner, I would NOT be standing up tall, but rather down on one knee and hunched over behind the armor to operate my machine gun.

That's a bit nice…I seriously 'hope' they won't be at Salute this year…..between them and 1st Corps I'm in trouble….
