That didn't last long.

LOL

As my wife often says…

You never make the plan the way you plan to make the plan.

Did you even have time to unpack?

Congratulations! It's just geography. Hopefully a good move for your wife and she will be happy. That's really important. You always have great products, information, and service. You can manage that from anywhere.

Best wishes!

I should hope damn little. Moving sucks, and you've just pointed to one of the worst parts.

Recently lost most of a major collection because I wasn't up to it. Though, Mark did help restore part with a recent purchase of mine.

Which reminds me, Scale ol' boy, I gather you won't discuss what laid you low recently, but DO hoe all's well now!

Actually, we are used to moving. We were unpacked in 2 days maybe 3 I think. But not my armies. They are still boxed up save for a few I opened to work on.

Welcome to the neighborhood(relatively speaking). I live in Schaumburg.

I used to work for a company that advised all employees to "never totally unpack."

I worked for a very large global corporation, one of my friends that I worked with has relocated 10 times in 11 years. He finally returned to the Chicago area after being away for 11 years and said his wife and children were so happy to be back. I got a call from him and after 6 months, he had to tell his family that had to move again back to the East Coast. I manage to move up in the corporation without ever relocating but not at the rate or level he did.

Moved to our wonderful house and town two years ago this month. Haven't fully unpacked yet, but am enjoying it and never plan on moving again….

A real nomad, I like the winged hussar pic.

I've moved 15 times since I was 18. I do not call anywhere home any longer. Other than miniatures, I don't won a lot of stuff. My wife and I travel a lot and have just basics at home. If it weren't for this silly hobby I could almost live like a gypsy.
