Heroscape: Road to the Forgotten Forest

It's a terrain expansion for Heroscape, but will non-Heroscape gamers be attracted by the trees?

Those are nice !

How wide are the trenches ?

monk2002uk25 Jun 2016 10:14 p.m. PST

Each trench casting is 60mm wide (just over 2 1/4 inches). The actual trenches themselves are 6mm wide inclusive of fire steps or 4mm wide for the sections of trench between the fire steps. Visually this will work equally well for 6mm (which is what I am using) or 10mm figures. The new trenches will feature in the demonstration of the Battle of the Somme that we are putting on in the Joy of Six Show in Sheffield, July 17th.

It is a real shame that I'm away on the 17th, I'd really like to see that.

I'm doing a Somme anniversary game next week (Serre and Beaumont Hamel) which will no doubt be suitably gruesome.

What rules are you using for the Somme game?

monk2002uk26 Jun 2016 2:17 p.m. PST

I'm using Great War Spearhead II. The game will cover the entire battlefield north of the Somme, including the French sector, but not the Gommecourt attack by the British Third Army. This will be set up on a 20 x 6' table.
