Some sort of "bank of the Nile" type mat might be useful to many gamers. It could be used for colonial actions in the Sudan or skirmish actions in the Congo or other areas where a river is the central terrain feature for the game. Half the mat could be a darker colored river with some vegetation along the bank. You could also sell separate mats of just the river color so that gamers could expand their game or use it for gunboat actions on the Nile or in China. |

That sounds like a great idea. Jim |

I'd like to see smaller versions of the double sided mats—like 3x3 and 3x4. This would be great for skirmish games and Saga. |

I agree with the NA forest floor. How about AWI battle mats like were done for ACW such as White Plains, Brandywine, Camden, Cowpens, Guilford Courthouse, etc. |

I would buy one that had a 28mm city-scape (ie bigger roads and pavements – 100mm?) one side and European fields but on 28mm scale (ie bigger fields 300mm+) |

European fields seen from an altitude of about 10000 feet, optimized for WWI aerial. It would be closer to your new Stalinggrad Grand Tactical map than your current European fields maps. A futuristic or post-apocalyptic map depicting something like a spaceport (e.g. Mos Eisley), District 9 style shanty-town or Gaslands ruins Also like the Nile/river bank idea, and the two sided Mars/Moon idea. |

+1 for the Bank of the Nile one although I would prefer a river with Dark Vegetation (Bank of the Amazon) |

Semi-arid European ground, for Napoleonic Peninsula battles in Spain as well as SCW, and WW2 in Greece, Crete or Sicily. It would probably work for Modern Lebanon too. I imagine brown/burnt semi-desertic ground but green vegetation (olive trees, etc.) |

Intrigued by the specific battle mats [Gettysburg etc]…but they are not produced in scales I play. I wonder if flex scalability might be possible, and given the limits of mat size, might be produced to cover a set, and selectable physical size [might take more than one mat, but minimize overlap, prefer butt joint]? Eg; produce a mat of "Borodino" or "Waterloo", "Shiloh"…etc etc just as examples to specific sizes: 6ft x5ft, 8ftx5ft, up to 9ftx5ft. Note, the 9ft x 5ft is the ubiquitous ping pong table. Lots of plastic folding tables are sold in 4x2ft; 5x2.5ft, 6x2.5ft, 8x2.5ft, sold almost everywhere. Some common configuration of tables would provide: 4x4ft, 4x6ft, 5x5ft, 5x6ft, 5x7.5ft, 5x8ft, 5x8.5ft, 6x6.5ft, 6x7.5ft and the ping pong table 5x9ft. I'd pick a few of these if not selectable, 5x8.5ft/5x9ft merge into one scale [note could take 2 mats to make], etc |

3' by 3' mat for Streets of Pompey. It would fit better under a 3' by 3' city walls arrangement. Most tables at conventions and many homes are 5' by 6'. This would work better for a siege with the outside space available for the assaulting troops. |

We use the roaring twenties street mat for our modern 28mm zombies games. I'd love another mat that can connect and expand on it. |

Mid-Autumn Scrubland. Some patches of grasses still a fading green, some already gone to seed, etc. I haven't been able to find Fall mats from anybody! Another one of terrain cut-outs, this time with larger sized rivers that twist and turn, 2.5" and 5" wide ones or so would be good. Your current river options are twisty small rivers, or straight canals of wider ones. Some small ponds would be good. Dry (and/or semi-dry) twisty river beds would be great to go with an Autumn mat too. |
