@79thPA I would say the main appeal from my limited research is that the Burmese leadership (at least during the 1st Anglo-Burmese War) was a lot more competent than say the Qing were during the First Opium War; winning actual battles and making an effective tactical withdrawal over treacherous terrain full of tigers. |
