I'd show up, but the costs for the R/T ticket from Boston seems a little pricey. Well, that and the hotel bills, and all the beer & food, and then there the purchases from the various trade stalls, etc etc etc. Gaming is getting to be expensive. |

Sounds like a highly motivated show. More power to you! The £3.00 GBP entry charge is very cheap too. Can't comment on cost of travel but that is outside your control i suspect? Tk, yes Boston would be a very long walk but there is always a show on the UK when you do come over. Did my first 5mm wargaming with minifig blocks back in 1973. Anyone else had those? |

Would love to come across the pond to see the show, but my two friends and I made it across to Salute this spring instead. Maybe another time. |

@Martin. Yep, I've still got those blocks. Three and two line infantry, the odd cavalry with the continuous legs. A good idea foiled by the technology available. |

Great fun. Ah those were the days. Could you post a picture some day? |

Anyone who likes wargaming, the JoS show is a great day to wander around. Many of the ideas on show would be applicable to other scales even if the vendors are only selling small scale figures etc. |

Thanks for all the positive comments. When the idea of the JOS was first mooted, a poster on this very site out out the idea that we were 'ghettoising' 6mm. We were creating an isolated, self-referential event catering only for a self-selecting group. What you see now with the show is completely the opposite. The 6mm gaming community has come together to create a first class showcase for the scale and what it is capable of producing. Given the prevailing culture in the wider wargames world even the best and brightest 6mm games tend to be overlooked and ignored so they become 'invisible' at general interest shows. We have created an alternative platform and it is our hope that our visitors do come from a wide cross section of the hobby and that they may find that there is more to agree with us in our choice of scale and far less to divide. |

Best wishes for an entertaining and successful event. One of these days I'll get back over there. I promise. |
