Jolly good. My guess they are on the tall heavy side in shape. And the horse be big and mostly only compatible with the regretted Totentanz and Khurasan. Looks I will have soon a Swedish regiment of stout looking scots!

Received a few samples a couple of months back with an order. The samples were superbly detailed

If bigger, will they then work with Testudo since Khurasan is supposed to work with them?

Jcfrog13 Feb 2020 1:02 a.m. PST

Yes they should. " the big guys" brigades.

One specific question would be about the size of the mounts—in the SYW range, the foot are indeed large at a full 18mm, but the horses are very large. I wonder if they are using these SYW mounts for this ECW range? These horses are incompatible with many like Essex or such. Beautiful models, but not if you already have other units with smaller figures.

Email Nic at Eureka, but as I said, by looking at the picture, same dollies as the syw maybe so big. They will mix up with my big Khurasans etc. Waiting their painting.
They also are with the saddle on the horse which means you could buy By fire and Sword plastic horses and remount some to go with the small horse band. I will.
Essex always too short.(a pity)..but can be cannibalized ocasionnaly.

I'd love to do these but not sure what rules to use. I really like ADLG for ancients but the Renaissance version is unofficial. What do people use for TYW/ECW?

The figures themselves are nicely sculpted and show good proportions, as one expects from Eureka (I have lots of their SYW figures), but those muskets look far too bulky, even for the ECW period.

The horses are the same size as our WSS range, which are smaller than the SYW ones.
If anyone you would like samples, please e-mail us at nicr@eurekamin.com.au and, mention this TMP thread and we sill send some to you.

Hurrah!
soon on the site with the 20mm Burma compatible boys?

coopman15 Feb 2020 9:56 a.m. PST

The minis look great. Unfortunately, all of my local gaming buddies are too entrenched in 28mm scale to even think about starting over at this point.

The Burma 20mm figures will be added as soon as we have photos

The Burma figures, plus tropical Fallchirmjaeger and winter Germans with STGw44 have all been added to the web site.
