Wow guys you should really hire an artist to do your Battle Valor Fantasy rulebook cover.
The picture looks like a 1980's wargaming magazine. Not appealing at all. That said I am sure that the rules are fun and would like to play them.
Just saying.

Pretty harsh. The guy put all of his hard work into something he believes in.

Exactly! It's a $40 USD rule book.
Make it look like a $40 USD rule book.
It's probably a lot of fun.

Argggg! I really wish I hadn't finished my wood elf army. I may have to get some of these anyway.

I was thinking the opposite. Not everyone is Games Workshop or can spend a lot in the front end with a publishing company or even an artist for a rule set. At least he is delivering on his promises to get the rules play tested and released from a KS. The figures are done and the rules are being shipped soon. I can say that is a big deal to me seeing that I have been waiting over 4 years for a rule set from a LARGE gaming company on a KS. Hey, when a later edition comes out, you should contact them to get a picture on the front of the cover ;)

Hi Dave. You can't go wrong with the figures. I have a few myself and have play tested the rules at a convention. They are very fun and easy to learn. I know the sculptor also, and he does some good work.

The figures are terrific. I don't have any but have handled them at cons.

I have a variety of the BV figures and they are all very well sculpted. However, they are also very large, with some closer to 20mm than 15mm. For that reason, I can't usually combine them with most Essex, AA, etc. figures (but they will fit with some of the larger Xyston ranges). They work very well for character figures, beefy bad guys (their Hellians make great Conanesque brutes), and they have some really good shields. I used their eagle logo smaller shields on Essex gendarmes to make 15mm not-Empire knights.

I will probably pick up that Wovian command as they look great as savage bloodthirsty druid/nature cult types.

I have quite a few as well. I wish they were smaller, but as long as I keep them in separate units I'm happy with them.
