For a British Peninsular force, I think I'd rather have a unit of KGL hussars than British heavy dragoons.

Agreed!

Anyone know when British heavy dragons changed from wearing bicornes?

WL is addressing the issue (see quote below) on the original "British Peninsular Campaign Starter Army" Hobby News TMP page.

However not sure if the alternate heads will be helmets (ie Union Brigade as stated below?) or pre-1812? Bicornes and/or Stove Pipe would be welcome.

The Heavy Cavalry come with the heads to represent the dragoons – Some of you eagle-eyed historians may have noticed the Scott's Greys in the picture above. These are made from the Union Brigade Cavalry box which will also allow you to make Dragoon Guards

Just seen that the Union Brigade box contains options for bicornes and helmets:

Okay, I'll be the one to do it – uniform is wrong for British Heavy Dragoons in the Peninsula.
