I'm stumped. I see the PB Jauréguiberry is part of the pre-Dreadnought range, but I'm drawing a blank. PB = patrol boat? Anyone want to fill us in on this ship?

I'm on a phone, but that ship looks like a frigate.q

According to my Conway's "All the World's Fighting Ships 1860-1905" this ship was a pre-Dreadnought battleship of the Charles Martel type. It was laid down in November 1891, launched in November 1893, and completed in February 1897(!). It served in the early stages of WWI. Stats = 11, 673 tons displacement, 356 ft pp X 72 ft8 in x 27 ft 8 in max, 17.7 knots top speed (likely on trials only), armor and armament the same as the Charles Martel (2-12in/45cal M1887 in two single gun turrets, 2-10.8in/45cal M1887 also in two single gun turrets, 8-5.5in/45cal quick firing 1888-91 and sundry small guns). So "PB" must refer to something else than "Patrol Boat."

PB is the abbreviation for pre-dreadnought. BB is the abbreviation for dreadnoughts or battleships

PB = pathetic battleship?

It should be pretty painted up. I have one in 1/1250.

Srsly it's probably a typo for BB or maybe it stands for predreadnought battleship?

I am tempted by the 15% offer. I was looking through the catalog and was amazed to find they don't have a Kagero – WW2 Japanese destroyer. They were all over the place in Pacific engagements. Seems like an oversight.

Beautiful pre-dread. They need more of them.
