The first and only rules specifically for the East Indies and Chinese Pirate Wars, now fully supported by wide ranges of 15mm ship and war canoes, miniatures for all the main ethnic groups, as well as naval guns and accessories from Send A Gunboat, this project now all but complete in its Third Edition. Some playtesting and formatting remain, but the rules will be on sale before the end of this month.
Still a Dependent Variant of the timeless The Sword and The Flame 20th Anniversary Edition, The Kris And The Flame (TKATF) has grown to nearly 60 pages, most in full color, with extra rules and features befitting the newly available warship types and castings.
Perfectbound, the rules have been kept to only $25.00 USD by making key game accessories available in a separate Graphic Supplement.
The terms of the pre-publication Subscription are as follows:
- The 8.5" x 11" perfect bound book will retail for $25.00 USD, but to Subscribers, the price is $20.00 USD, plus $10.00 USD for domestic Priority Mail postage. Overseas customers will be charged their choice of Flat Rate International Priority Mail ($42.00) or International First Class Mail ($25.00 USD).
- A separate TKATF Graphic Supplement consisting of professionally printed Action Deck of 63 game cards and Battle Damage Deck of 52, all full color and 2.5" x 3.5" (provided in a reseal-able plastic bag). In addition are five full color heavy cardstock pages of three Turning Circles, Weather Vane, and 124 Game Counters (some double sided). This will retail for $20.00 USD, but may be Subscribed to as well for $15.00 USD.
- Those wishing to Subscribe to both the book and the Graphic Supplement will be charged $32.00 USD, a savings of $13.00 USD over the combined retail price. Further, both items should be able to ship for the same $10.00 USD price as for the book alone.
- Further, Subscribers to the book will have their names listed on the Roll of Honor – still including those from the original edition some 17 years ago!

- As with previous Subscriptions, no money will change hands until either at least 30 copies of the book are claimed, or the end date of Midnight CDT, May 24, 2020, is reached. Invoices will be sent and payments accepted through PayPal.
- Buyers of the rules do not need to buy the Graphic Supplement for the required accessories. Instead, the contents will be provided for free by requesting them from TVAG as reduced size and black-and-white PDF files for self-printing and use.
