Late last August, I posted a thread about finding some Jazz Band figures, which I was reminded were made by our friends at Black Cat Bases. As the thread developed, Nic Robson of Eureka Miniatures alluded to such a project in the 100 Club listings. Well, one thing led to another, and sure enough, Nic offered to move a full eight-piece band forward, and agreed to the chance of some 20s Foxtroters, etc, if enough folks quickly subscribed. Well they did, and here is the news I promised to share with all interested parties here at TMP, and elsewhere.
As shown in the illustration Nic provided, not only did he make good on his promise with a full-size 20s Jazz Band, with the proper mix of instruments, but his sculptor, Alan Marsh, has given us a Band for The Ages. Some of the most famous musicians of the Early Jazz Age are represented here in authentic likenesses. Satchmo alone is worth the price of admission!
Better still, support was so good, that a set of five dancers was produced at the same time, and together they make one of the most dynamic figure combinations ever.
Eureka is able to hold the original price of $20.00 AUD, and allow all the 100 Club members to order any five of the eight for that price. Alternatively you can order the whole band for $30.00 AUD.
The wonderful dancers can be bought for $2.95 AUD each, or $12.50 AUD for the set of all five.
And as a final offer, they can do a special on all the figures, dancers and players for the bargain price of just $40.00 AUD.
Orders may be placed now!
Painted examples will soon be posted to Eureka and at TVAG, and displayed in the totally reworked Night Club that is part of the Mean Sets building interiors for Pulp and other games.
Thank you, Nic and Alan!
