A few HistoriCons back, when I was buying up every bloody thing to support my Gangsters/P.I. game and product ambitions, I stumbled across some figures which, though I bought them, I've since managed to lose who made them! Sold in separate blister packs there is a least a piano and player, a drummer with trapset, a Saxohonist, and a Bull Fiddle player. They are white metal castings on the hefty side, and the seated cats are as tall as some folks from other companies are standing, but they are the only band in town. Do these ring a bell with anyone? Would you know if other musicians (e.g. Jazz Trumpeter, Singer, etc) are offered by this same company? I'd sure like to know if I can buy more, but knowing who to go to is kinda basic! Hoping one of you Gennemuns can be of service, I remain TVAG |

Jo! With help from posts to my questions, I've been to Black Cat Bases and the very figures I spoke of. If I have a disappointment, it is that I seem to have all the figures currently available. Yet, I see you offer a sprue with Clarinet, Trumpet, and more. I might try to buy an additional Saxophonist (or two or three) and attempt to carve that instrument out and replace with the other separates, but there would still be pose issues, and the fine chance I'd just make a lox of the whole thing. So, is there any chance you might be persuaded to produce musician figures to play these other instruments? Indeed, unless I missed it, a Trombone would certainly be in order, too. The original sculpts must be available, or certainly their casting masters. Should it not be possible to provide, as necessary, new arms to hold the existing instruments? If you should consider providing any of these, I publicaly commit to buying at least one of each (more if I go for full size "Swing Band"). I know that won't pay for your work, but at least I'm putting my money where my mouth is. I'm hoping for a very pleasant surprise one day
. And "Thank you!" to both posters, a pair of Gentlemen, to be sure. TVAG |

Another vote for more musicians and a promise to pay. It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing. How about music stands Patrick? |

Don't think I can make those in card that would really serve the purpose--if you mean that which the sheet music rests on during a performance. If you mean a "band stand" within a Night Club or other venue, that can easily be done for the eventual interior of the "Starlight Ballroom (10 Cents A Dance)," or the "Pago-Pago" (as an example) South Seas/Tiki Bar that's in the works. Now, if we can just convince SOMEONE to make the Night Club "Staff" (Maitre 'D, Waiter, Hat Check, Cigarette, and Photographer Girls) we'd be in tall cotton! But we also need a few dancing couples to put on the floor--and in the line of fire! I could write an entire book of game scenarios just on the availability of such figures, and the various "Mean Streets" and "Mean Sets" born to tell stories! TVAG |

Dear "Foreign," Thanks for the tip about Eureka! I followed the link and signed up for one each of the Jazz Band and 20's Dancers, but was disappointed to read (if I got it straight) that I was evidently the only one to order them, so far. If you know better, I'd be relieved to hear it. Otherwise, I would certainly encourage others following this thread to go thou and do likewise to help bring these lovely bits to fruition--in our lifetimes! TVAG |
