How to sell it off.

Any interest?

I have also a large collection of 1/72 or 20mm WW2 miniatures, vehicles, boats, and aircraft too. Hopefully my sons will continue to roll d6 dice using the miniatures upon my passing.

Maybe post an inventory link and sample photos on TMP to generate interest before selling.

For the record my sons have access to a complete (as of Feb 2026) spreadsheet inventory of the various national WW2 collections. I also write a note under each base what is is and use a rear edge color coding system to separate or identify what the team / platoon represents. I based mine for use in FOW gaming, just with larger team basing sizes.

There is also a Facebook site for selling 1/72nd scale items. It is easy and free and you can post the pictures of the collection you are selling along with a close up pics.

I would suggest, having helped a friend with something like this:

1. As TMPWargamerabbit said, develop an inventory link and sample photos of the collection. You have options to organize your sales. You can try the whole collection, or as a side (Allies vs Axis) – if you don't have a time pressure for selling, try organizing them by units. e,g, "US armored infantry company (1944) – X vehicles and figures" – this let's players add to their collections without feeling like over buying, could result in steady sales.

2. Contact your local area gaming groups for first dibs, so to speak

3. Then you can try social media (including TMP)
* TMP
* Lead Adventure Forum (tends to be UK gamers)
* Facebook Groups like Historical Miniatures Trade & Sale, and also interest groups you can ask Admins if you can post for sale, like Rapid Fire, Rapid Fire Reloaded, and Wargaming World War Two 15mm-1/72(20mm).

4) eBay as an option, again selling by Units is a good strategy but you can also list the whole thing for a bit and see if that works

5) Last resort – Noble Knight will buy the whole collection. You'll get less $$ but it will sell very fast.

Russians, British, American, Italians, Romanian, and Partisans.

All in Rapid Fire configurations.

Several regimental units of infantry as well as several tank battalions.

All 20mm foot and 1/76 armor. Most soft skins are minitanks.
