At one time this used to be an excellent magazine but since 2003 has become nothing more than an ellaborate Games Workshop catalogue. Lots of pretty pictures, little in the way of hobby.

I have put buying new ones on hold. I will still pick up a few older, pre-giant issues if I don't have it. I will be happy to buy WD again as soon as they get some content added.

It's a terrible gaming magazine these days, but most house organs are. White Dwarf stopped being a good read when it turned into a GW-only playground…or maybe more accurately, when GW decided they only wanted to endlessly re-release three games for the rest of eternity.

Still, the photos are nice…

They have had some nice army lists for out-dated and special armies that have not yet or will not be covered by new Codex/Army Books. Great for the WH/40K/LotR players. Mostly useless for anyone else.

Wow this needs a bit updating. Now weekly, magazine is almost strictly a catalog and preview magazine for Games Workshop release. Many of the features of the old White Dwarf are now in Warhammer: Visions.
