As we both have a similar craving for El Chupacabra (note I got it right this time) and I was expecting your comments on my last post, I'm asking your opinion directly. How about these:

for El Chupacabra? 15mm, so the size is correct, vaguely reptilian, right sort of legs, and 20 for 12 bucks…

20 for 12 bucks! Not bad. I wonder if the pose could be altered to produced a more crouched figure.

I am even considering converting a few of the small baboons I have to make one of these mutated renditions:

Imported baboons and macaques have been known to attack chickens and other small animals in areas of Puerto Rico.

Because of the dog skeletons they found in Chile, people there think that it looks more like this:

However, where they made their first appearance (Puerto Rico), this is what most people have allegedly seen:

Could these plastic skinks be converted, you think?

Does anyone know how tall they are?

I use those for my Lowland Venus Lizardmen, I've cut off the crest and they look good.

Now, obviously they are hunched over but foot to eye they are 21mm high.

"foot to eye they are 21mm high"

That is not perfect, but its still a good short height. Plus there seems to be quite a few variants in the same box.

Thanks!

Those would make GREAT 'lizardmen' from Venus/Amtor??? 8-)

THANKS!!!

A lot of the "Skink" look disapears when you remove the crest. They get an angry generic lizardman look that I really like.

I think I'm ging to go with the Howlers. From the look of the picture, it's tail is cast to the base. A quick snip, then a few tweaks with the pliers to the legs and arms, a decent paint job and I reckon I'll have me a Chupacabra! And as you get 20, if I muck up the first one…

Now I need a mexican village for my horde of Chupacabras to invade, defended by…um…Luchadores! I'll need to find some luchadores first, of course..lol (As bizarre ideas go, this one beats the Rednecks vs Wendigo scenario…)

Carrion Crow16 Feb 2007 3:17 p.m. PST

Okay, bit the bullet and ordered the Howlers. Once they're converted to my liking, I'll post some pics.
But will my Chupahowlers be first or will Cacique Caribe beat me to the punch with his Chupaskinks? Stay tuned for further developments…

Carrion Crow,

You definitely won the Chupacabra race!
