Does anyone know where I can buy an Old West train by Goldlok? I've been to my local Toys R' Us several times and they never have them. I live in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Thanks.

I found them at Walgreens about a month ago.

I'll second that. I also found the trains in my local Walgreens.

Does anyone know if these are available in the U.K.
Thanks in advance,
Ray.

I'll third Walgreens.

But, rumor has it, the ones found at Toys'R'Us have some extra track tacked to the side of the box.

Which is very nice for straight setups. I'm tempted to by a whole 'nother train just for another 2 straight track pieces.

On the subject, I found a similar train by a company called Teamsters Heritage. The train is a 'Western Express', and will paint up nicely. Very suitable for 28mm heroic scale figures. Got it off eBay for about $10. USD

The Wahlgreens near my house carries them, but only at Christmas. They are gone now. Maybe you'll have better luck locally. If not, be patient, do not despair, and start looking again in November. The local Toys-R-Us had some when I visited a couple years ago.

Recon Alpha,

My pal picked up one very similar for me in a pound store in Belfast. I can't remember the name of the shop but I'm sure they have branches all over the UK.

It cost 6 quid…

I have also seen these at Walgreens and Dollar General. And don't forget to search ebay.

I got one at Walgreens. I only kept the engine and three other cars as the oil drum and the other cars look much too modern for the 1800s. It also definitely needs to be painted as the stickers and stuff are very 'off period'.

Other than that the scale is great.

At Toys R' Us they are sold as Fast Lane now as I recall. It is the same train though, and when I got mine I did indeed get extra track.

That's odd Col Stone the Western Expresses actually cost more than what they do in Walgreens but the Contiental express is a much better price (but would be better for Pulp)
