28mm Chinese, a few left to do, probably another 16 or so crossbowmen and some cavalry.

10mm ECW. I want to get rolling on some more of this. I have a good amount already but I need more cavalry.

My only big new project, or relatively new will be 28mm Eastern Renaissance armies, so Poles and Turks mostly, but I'll probably do the poles and swedes first so that I can incorporate the swedes into the polish army as germans with a quick flag change.

Also Elric skirmish in 28mm but that is just about finished.

Pictors Studio29 Dec 2006 11:26 a.m. PST

Frothers Did It Anyway29 Dec 2006 11:42 a.m. PST

I've had a gutful of painting miniatures in 2006 so for me 2007 will be mostly terrain making. I want to make some better modular boards for my 25mm NWF Colonials and buildings which aren't just the Major General's style generic Eastern buildings but in a more accurate Afghan style. I'd like to model a stepped garden and menagerie for the Amir too (lucky him).

Then there'll be 15mm Eastern Front urban terrain for FoW and Crossfire.

I still have a few minis to finish off – some Battlefront Germans and I always seem to have a few more Pathans knocking around. But I'd like to spend more of 2007 gaming than modelling to be honest!

mweaver29 Dec 2006 11:45 a.m. PST

Build up fantasy forces in general, starting with Empire and Orcises, then probably dwarves and Undead.

I think I will do concentrations by quarters, so Jan. through March will be Empire and Orcs/Goblins.

WarmasterCharlie29 Dec 2006 11:46 a.m. PST

Finish 6mm 1940 Battle of France project
Do a Peace River MP squad for Heavy Gear

Based on how 2006 went, that's an ambitious schedule. :(

Painting up some armies/units for my "Warrior" friends, but they are top secret. If I tell you, I will have to kill you.

For me, not so secret, are an expansion of my 25/28mm AWI armies, so I can do Germantown and Brandywine at 1:20. Surprisingly, I do not have all that much to do. When you tootle along steadily painting up units, and not paying all that much attention to the OOB, it's surprising how units accumulate. Just a few regiments and battalions to go.

Other projects are:
1920 Irish.
A vague wish to expand my chariot armies into the Battle of Qarqar.
GASLIGHT VSF contingent of the Fenian Irish Republic, to meddle in my 1885 US Canada War.
Buffalo Soldiers, for the same war.

Two Ducks Pond29 Dec 2006 2:11 p.m. PST

Continue reinforcing my WW1 collection with Brigade Games figures.

Continue with my WW2 using BAM and FOA. Mainly Sovites, Finns and hopefully Italian Paras and Poles.

Thats all :-)

My first big project is to rework a set of knock off Fire and Fury mechanics for AWI at 1:10, and finish the forces for Cowpens and Weitzel's Mill. That means lots of purchasing, painting and re-mounting. But it should look cool. Need to have it done no later than Memorial Day for Enfilade.

I'll keep on keeping on with my Space 1889 project.

I also want to expand my Hundred Years War projects, and increase the size of my War of 1812 armies.

Kevin

Jovian129 Dec 2006 3:16 p.m. PST

Wow – you people have projects galore! I have one goal this year:

Move to the new house and get the new game room set up, the table built, the armies reorganized, the painting station and airbrush station set up, and the painting and modeling projects organized by genre. It should take all year to get it done. I've had stuff in storage now for nearly a year – it will be like Christmas when it is time to move in!

"I didn't know I had that!" will resound off the mountain tops! Perhaps a "Work Bench" article will ensue from this endeavor.

yeoman29 Dec 2006 3:57 p.m. PST

Currently 15mm Fantasy

Texas Grognard29 Dec 2006 8:24 p.m. PST

Hey Chonk34, I see you are in the same boat I'm in with Skaven. Sometimes I wonder why I don't just spray paint them brown and be done with them. Good grief I'm so sick of brown fur. I have upwards of 120-130 clanrats and 100 slaverats with roughly about a third of them done. this doesn't include my specials and rares.
Some of you are thinking "why so much?" I'm playing a horde army and it is not good to be outnumbered when playing a horde army. :-]

@Treadhead3006,
I've been working on my Skaven since January, and I've only got a couple more minis (a Jezzail team and a Warp-Lightning Cannon) left to paint to finish my 2000-point army. But I'm already planning an addition to bring the army to 2250 (a Dogs of War Giant and a unit of Slaves) and then another 750 points to bring it to 3000. I got sick of painting rats several times this year and had to switch over to pirates or Battle Sisters for a few weeks.

TheWarStoreSweetie31 Dec 2006 1:55 p.m. PST

Add to my Undead AoA army (goal of 10k points)

If I finish the Greeks soon I want to start a Persian army for them to fight.
15mm Soviet WWII (and maybe Germans so I have a built in opponent army)

Between mini cost and painting time that will likely do me in, although I have some other stuff I want to get into (1/300 WWI aircraft and WWI naval in 1/3000)

Pigmentia11 Jan 2007 11:49 a.m. PST

This year I'm going for it! Building the Bavarian army using 10mm Old Glory with 100 man (20 stand) units as it entered Russia. Figs on the way (pant.. pant…) spent the morning downloading flags from Napflags. Can anyone recommend a good paper to use?

Assuming I can finish this one…
finish my goblin horde in 15mm using demonworld/blooddawn.

IronMike17 Jan 2007 8:07 p.m. PST

My projects for this year:

--paint up all those awesome Copplestone 'Future Wars' minis I've had laying around (actually, I've already gotten a start on this one.)

--finally get those fantasy rules i've been kicking around for the past three years written down.

--paint up some fantasy ARMIES to go with my rules.

--FINALLY find a historical genre that flips my switch and get a start on an army for that :)
