Suddenly I'm getting hit with a lot of lockfile and run-time errors here on TMP. Did something change?

No… (fingers crossed)

Plynkes29 Oct 2006 3:37 p.m. PST

I wasn't getting them, until I clicked on this topic. Then I got one.

It's that Neotacha it is. She's a witch. Burn her!

Pictors Studio29 Oct 2006 3:39 p.m. PST

She might not be I was getting them too earlier.

Neotacha29 Oct 2006 3:39 p.m. PST

Odd. I'm getting them a lot today (and late yesterday). Refresh generally gets past them, but it's a bit annoying all the same.

It probably is that Neotacha hag. I always said you can't trust women on the boards! :)

I`ve just had a couple. I bet there will be a usage increase now that it is dark earlier.

I've just seen one now. The one I saw was an advertising banner lockfile problem, which means either (a) there's a spike of users right now, or (b) something else is slowing the server down, causing secondary problems such as lockfile errors.

If you see another lockfile report, can you PM it to me?

Neotacha29 Oct 2006 4:02 p.m. PST

Surely. TMP is loading slowly at the moment, too, if that helps you any.

Plynkes29 Oct 2006 4:07 p.m. PST

I thought that was just me. My phone line isn't working at the moment, but strangely my Internet still is (it uses the same line), though somewhat slowly.

Something funny going on tonight. I still think it's witchcraft!

I'll turn off forum searching by posts, and see if that helps. Might be someone doing a lot of searches…

Just once, mid-morning.

I had that problem with IE 7, restored to IE 6. I am happy again.

It hasn't happened to me today. Of course, now it probably will…

I had it happen this morning, on an ad banner.
