Ok, if you were stranded on a desert island and could only have one set of miniature rules with you. What would those rules be, of course you would have all the miniatures that you would need to play. I know, I know there would be other things that you would want to have instead of a set of rules, but for questions sake. Let us stick to that one set of miniature rules. |

Trinity: Battleground. Easily modded to any genre or era for skirmish gaming. I've modded or seen modded: Modern Zombie Skirmish Wild West Darkest Africa Supers Big Robots Pirates |

40K then I could argue about the rules over and over. it would be like playing a different rule set every time. :) |

Warhammer Ancient Battles. That way I could get all kinds of new miniatures to play it. Holy crap! I would get a republican roman army, a whole bunch of diadochi armies, ancient chinese, medeival stuff. The mind boggles. Do I get all the supplements, too? |

Since there is no mention of an opposing player, I would have to say any system that would be a good solitare system would be needed. At that point, I would be sort of loss for a system, since I do not play miniature games by myself
computer games and some boardgames (B-17: Queen of the Skys; Patton's Best; Aliens; etc), I have as they are designed for solo play. |

Star Grunt. If I were stranded on a desert island, that would probably be the only time I'd ever be able to deploy my entire infantry company! And it wouldn't matter how long a turn would take because there wouldn't be anything better to do anyway. |

Hmm, it would have to be something with lots of background on wilderness survival, and that requires the use of lots of figures (more figures -> more fishing weights). |

That would be the best thing that could ever happen to me. I would finally get all my figures painted. Since I normally travel with 20-40 figures to prep and paint, realistically it could be anything. If we are being entirely hypothetical here, then it would have to be all of my El Cid (WAB) and LOTR figures and rules, with sufficient paint and brushes to last me. The problem would be to keep the sand off them! :) CC |

General Quarters. I would finally be able to run that huge Pacific Campaign that I'd eventually like to do, in the proper setting. No doubt though, I wouldn't have the proper minis along, or the dice would go missing. |

"On to Richmond" ACW rules. With the randomness of the Morale table, no two games would be the same, and I know it plays VERY well solo since the movement is card activated. |
