I've just picked up some modern zombies from Crocodile Games….You know.. the guys who produce the Wargods of Aegyptus.
They are not listed on their website and were sculpted by Chris Fitzpatrick. He has sculpted for Ral Partha, Global Games, AEG, GamesWorkshop( Dark Elves/Eldar). They are not part of the Wargods range and were done as a bit of fun!
There are three in the pack: A cop, a business woman and a really banged up guy in a suit.
Apparently there are three other varients which haven't been cast because they don't think there would be that much interest!!!
Any how, here's a pic
link

If you want some, contact them at:
sales@crocodilegames.com

If enough people are interested then they will probably cast the others aswell!

I'd buy 20 or 30 of them if they were all done that well.

Not until January 1, 2007 of course.

So that's what happened to the Village People…

CmdrKiley11 Oct 2006 1:44 p.m. PST

I picked them up a few years ago at their booth at GenCon. A GenCon Exclusive I guess.

Very nice minis and they paint up real well.

"So that's what happened to the Village People…"

You're the second person who's said that. That cop would look at home with a Construction Worker, Native American, Biker…… LOL!

I bought these a few years ago at Little Wars t hey are excellent sculpts.

SeattleGamer11 Oct 2006 3:15 p.m. PST

Papa you didn't say but can I assume … these are 28mm? They would fit in with the usual suspects when it comes to zombies (Cold War, Copplestone, Zombiesmith, etc)?

"…they don't think there would be that much interest!!!"

Yeah, who's interested in Zombies anymore.

Pappa Midnight11 Oct 2006 3:36 p.m. PST

Sorry I should have said, they're 28mm with slotta bases ( they come with square ones so I replaced them with round bases to fit with my other minis) , so they look fine with copplestone etc.

Geoff B11 Oct 2006 3:49 p.m. PST

They are great looking miniatures…….are there more in the range?

Pictors Studio12 Oct 2006 3:49 a.m. PST

I don't know if he plans any more zombies but he might. I think Chris is going to be in the movie Dead at the Box Office, which is a horror comedy.

Geoff B:"….are there more in the range?"

Only these three , with another three varients as yet un-cast. Hopefully if they were to get enough interest maybe he could could do some more….Well I live in hope anyway!

I'm doing my part! I just contacted them about ordering the three figs. My guess is they would sell a few more of these if they actually advertised them : )

You can never have too many zombies.

They're 28mm scale, and fit in nicely with most other modern zombie manufacturers.

Well … this just in. The UK Sucks! Okay, well, perhaps not the entire United Kingdom, just one particular individual who shall remain nameless, mostly because I don't know his name.

But I heard back from Cathy (Crocodile Games). It seems they "just" sold their last packs to a gent in the UK. So the zombies are all gone for now.

She said if I was interested, she would keep my name on file, and when more are minted she would let me know. The price was $10 USD for the trio, plus $4.05 USD for priority shipping anywhere in the US.

They (CG) do NOT have the mold, which is apparently lurking around in the sculptor's basement. Chris must dig out the mold, and take it to a top secret location, where more figures can be spun. She expected this to take a number of months.

So … I urge anyone who wants a pack to contact CG and let them know that you want some. The more people say they are interested, the faster (I'm hoping) that Chris decides to wade through his basement and find the mold.

And who knows, perhaps they will even make a mold of the other three figs. I told her I would certainly be interested myself.

And whoever you are from the UK who bought up the last packs – and you know who you are – you best be looking over your shoulder from now on. If you suspect you are being watched, you are, and it's me : )

Pappa Midnight13 Oct 2006 2:23 a.m. PST

Ah…..Steve I live in the UK…….!
I would assume ( unless someone else bought them) that it might have been me.
I didn't realise that they would have to be totally re-cast, only that the varients needed to be cast!
I Suck Big!

Seeing as how it's you Papa, and you've painted up so many cool minis and shared with the rest of us, I'm going to call off the professional hit I had ordered. But just this once : )

How did you find out about those minis anyway? And how many did you buy?

Pappa Midnight13 Oct 2006 2:54 a.m. PST

….calling from a secret location somewhere in the UK….
Thanks Steve, I can stop looking over my shoulder….for now!
I got pointed in the right direction by Fatgoblin on the Eerie Miniatures Forum
link
I bought two packs. One for painting as they are and one for conversions ( I do this quite a bit!)
BTW I just sent you an email re: a little project i'm working on!

Love it! And Elvis looks like he fell into a vat of chocolate :)

SeattleGamer13 Oct 2006 1:35 p.m. PST

Got it Papa … and replied with some attachments (hope it wasn't so large as to be caught by an email limitation on your end).

Ah, fatgoblin, now there's another guy with way too much talent to suit me. I've been tempted to put out a contract on him as well, but he's been too kind to me.

BTW to one and all, Cathy from Crocodile Games said they didn't really know how to market these things and that because of this thread, she's going to be monitoring how successful the word-of-mouth campaign is. So please, if you want any of these, drop them a line and ask. If nothing else, she'll keep a running tally and that might help convince them to spin the mold up again.

Steve
