Might be worth mentioning that some of these might not be considered "workplace safe" or "family friendly" everywhere. Not trying to start a debate

" I wouldn't sweat it Allen. ERB is hardly what you'd call "family friendly" and since his characters are some of the most popular to have appeared in pulp magazines, and since they are depicted in the novels as they are shown at the links, and since this is a "pulp" forum, they are completely appropriate except for the drawing of Jane where her breasts are half out, which ain't like the proper Jane of the novels. The other women are pretty much as I always imagined them to look. In fact, some of them are over dressed. |

>Tarzan's Jane
>io.com.ua/58094 This art is from "Son of Tarzan", not any of the Tarzan novels, so that's not Jane. >io.com.ua/73770 Are you sure that this is supposed to be Jane?? Looks more like Sheena or maybe Rima. |

In this one: io.com.ua/58098 I'm not sure the beast is attacking. From the look of the pupils, it's less 'Rar!' than 'I am soooooo high'. Then again, with that kind of constriction, it could be heroin. So, Carter might be in a pile of trouble. |

"Carter might be in a pile of trouble." Ms. Thoris doesn't seem very upset about it though, does she? |

Silverback, I never realy like those figures looked kind of crude (Who makes them again) but painted up they look kinda nice. Might have to give them a second look. |

Those figures Silverback shows are some of the excellent 'Dead Earth Imperials' from BRONZE AGE MINIATURES and the images, (especially grey primer)
while they show some detail
really don't do 'justice' to the sculpts
No matter how 'good' the photographs may be
they can only give you part of the 'story'. I HIGHLY recommend the lines but heres some links for you

"Those figures Silverback shows are some of the excellent 'Dead Earth Imperials' from BRONZE AGE MINIATURES" I think the
ahem
"mutants"
look terrific! But the women all have *huge* noses. Not very pretty at all. |

ERB is hardly what you'd call "family friendly" I read about two-thirds of the John Carter books by borrowing them from the school library when I was a lad. I later found out that the missing third was made up of the paperback volumes that had bare breasts on the cover. |

"I read about two-thirds of the John Carter books by borrowing them from the school library when I was a lad. I later found out that the missing third was made up of the paperback volumes that had bare breasts on the cover." Right, Steve. Tarzan goes BA naked as soon as he gets back into the jungle. They don't describe him as stripping to his BVDs before swinging back into the trees. That would be a funny site though. Tarzan in boxer shorts. LOL All of those Frazetta paintings are renditions of the women as they are depicted in the ERB novels. After all, these are pulp magazine stories, so they are going to be suggestive and somewhat lurid. I'll tell you what though, the paintings at the site that Warrenns lnked us to are nowhere near as lurid as the art on some of the pulp covers that weren't ERB, and they were right out there on the newstands. I think it's fine to link to a Frazetta nude, but I would hesitiate to attach a link to covers from Spicy Mystery, Terror Tales, and Horror stories. I don't even want to discuss what's depicted on *those* covers. |

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say. I absolutely love the Bronze Age figs, the female figs paint up wonderfully and although not classically beautiful they look very exotic in my view. This range is the closet to my vision of the Barsoom world and the most exciting miniature line to be released in a long time for me. |
